Making your own bubble lenes is very easy to do. get a grinding face shield at your local automotive store, they either have them or can order them, about $8.00 bucks. cut a piece that covers your eye socket in the helmet, then heat with a heat gun until its like soft rubber. Great work Scott, you did a really nice job. i have probably built a few hundered helmets in my time and i learned a few things along the way. One thing i learned is triming ABS isnt as easy as HIPS, the buytel rubber in ABS makes it a tuff plastic to work with on certian parts. The way i do the eye...

I have pulled both ABS and HIPS. i prefer the HIPS over ABS as far as building and forming, its easier to get and easier to use, plus HIPS is very flexable if the rite gauge is used. There are plus sides to both plastics, HIPS does pull sharper detail and doesnt murder the molds, but as said you wou...
