Already approved bikers are grandfathered in. It's recommended that you upgrade but not required.

Biker Scout(TB) CRL Update
The Biker Scout CRL was recently approved and there has been some changes/additions to the base requirements. If you are in the process of making a Biker Scout or you are thinking about starting one, please take a minute to review the CRL. http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Scout_trooper Not...

Re: Obi-ron's TK building project - ESB
I went with a corded variable speed Dremel and a flex shaft attachment( http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=225-01 ) for easier cutting. I hate to have to charge any tool before I use it and have to worry that I 'll have enough juice to finish the job. The only cordl...

Hyperfirm blasters are great for trooping. They are light weight and durable. I have both an E-11 and a DLT-19. I love them both!

Re: Obi-ron's TK building project - ESB
I have both TK boots and CAboots. The TK boots are great and comfy. The CABoots stink(literally. They smell like rotten fish  )and cost a lot more than TK boots. The only drawback to TK boots is the occasional wait list for certain sizes. I also have a set of the ATA HIPS armor, that I have bee...

Re: 501st or Rebel?
You say "Have to be a Rebel" like it's a bad thing. I wasn't. I'm saying just because she wouldn't be able to join the 501st with it, don't let that stop her from making it. You do a costume because it's what you want, not what group it belongs too. If she wants to, she can always ...

Note: The strap/buckle at the top is not required; this area is covered in full costume and may or may not be there based on the style of boot.

Re: Chippewa Boots
Oops. I was looking at the engineer boots on the Chippewa site. I clicked on the "Street Warrior" link(thinking it would take me to the motorcycle boots) on the site and ended up in the engineer section. I saw the engineer boots and they match the jack boot style I was refering to a...

Re: Chippewa Boots
I would need to see a picture of them to be sure what boots you are speaking of. Chippewa makes many different motorcycle boots. Please post a picture of the boots. But to answer your question. No, motorcycle boots can not be used for an Imperial Officer. However, depending on the style of boot, it ...

Sabers are not my specialty but they seem to be Jay-gon Jinn's. Check out some of his build threads in this section and try sending him a pm(username = "Jay-gon Jinn")with your questions. He might be able to help you out.

Re: Tusken At Work
I have reviewed the pictures and sent you a PM with a few minor fixes. You'll also need to fill out the application on the 501st website and provide some Legion ID choices from the available numbers. I provided links to everything in the PM.
Great Job You're almost there.

AKER  No PTT :sonofa: Wired Mic :D Me too. I tried the push to talk and didn't like it. There was too much prep involved to position it right. The wires used to make it were really thick and hard to bend just right. It was easier just to go without it. I ended up changing the wired mic that...

Re: Animated Arc Trooper Updated 6-25-11
Based on how your pictures show up on my monitor. I think the lighter fabric better matches the reference but the darker fabric better matches the paint on your armor. Unless you plan on repainting your armor, I would go with the darker.
