Did you hand sew the stitching on the boots?
I see you went with the off white pouches. I did the same for Kelli.

Re: Possible Jawa costume for my son??
Are you talking approval for your son or for you as a Jawa?cblack1971 wrote:Thanks for the site, Terrell. Good stuff.
Anyone know where I can find approval requirements for a Jawa?
If your Son, he can't join until he is 18. So until then his Jawa would not need to be official or approved.

Go here (if you have not already done so) to get Biker Scout information:

This is an official 501st Detachment.
I built my wife's Biker Scout costume, so I am very familiar as what needs to be done for approval.

It would need some tweaks to get approved.

Make sure it's Devcon plastic welder and not Devcon plastic epoxy. The epoxy is black  . You can also use Super Glue Plastic Fusion. It is a 2-part epoxy that is pretty much the same as Devcon Plastic Welder. I have used both and they perform (and stink the same while drying) equally well.

Re: Armor epoxy
E6000 is also a good all-purpose adhesive, without the nasty epoxy smell. I've seen it at Meijer in the hardware section and at Michael's & JoAnn where the other adhesives are. It starts out as a viscous liquid, but it gels over time, which makes it really easy to work with then. I would use E6...

Do what Kelli has to do. Wear a really snug fitting sports bra to "flatten" them down.jackiewags wrote:I was told I need to strap down the um...."girls" to make the ab and chest piece fit.
That is the only way her Biker Scout chest armor properly fits her.
