Re: Jango Build

What material/kind is your visor? Most I've worked with on mando helmets can take a light heating in the oven. Kick it to 350, check about every 30seconds to a minute tops. It should come out pliable enough to bend in flush. Works best with two people, one to hold bucket, one to place the visor. Als...

Re: Light Sabers

Yup, that'd be the man Jay... He is a pretty good smith when it comes to those things. If I ever kick the addiction to beskar'gam, he's managed to help me define a few concepts here and there. And, he knows his machines. Growing up with a machinist as my step-dad, it's a relief to talk to someone wh...

Making your own dreads is relatively simple. Just time consuming to do it right. Youtube has a wealth of resources on that. Try a search there.

Re: Light Sabers

I also know a few custom saber smiths, one particularly in Georgia is a real wiz at it. If you're willing to seek out of state, I can contact him and see if he's open to custom orders, and put you in comms with him.

They also tend to take quite a mark up on the goods there in my experience.

Re: Great Lakes Fitness Center

Well, thanks to some motivation received during MC3, i'm down from 290 to 273, and dropping weight steady. It's slowed noticeably since the first week, but the main switches have been diet control and intake reduction in a quick way. I only slipped once on my birthday this past week.. And yeah, I ki...

Indeed.... Maybe Jolly meant 18?

That new solo pic of the helmet is freaking cool too, btw.

Very nice kit! I know it floored some of the Mercs on our side to see all four of the boys assembled, and looking damned fine.

Hot water can work, depending on the type of resin and such. But it's a little less likely than the heat gun.

Re: EO TK Build Thread

Looking good. E-6000 is a godsend... It's holding together 3/4 my mando build! XD It does have, in my experience, a rather long full-set time, but once it does set and harden, you need a welding torch or an act of God to get what is attached back off! Take it from me when building the hunting spear ...

Re: Armor Party April 3rd---South Haven

Thank you for the PM... But the wife has diagnosed me with what appears to be a rather nasty abscess in my tooth (i'm fine I think.. but I don't argue with her).. So I go in tomorrow, and am currently on high dose vicodin, which means I can't drive, and the wife declined to drive me to and fro.. >.<
