Re: Darth Nihilus Costume

After further investigation, I was looking at the website you posted and I say make it look like the picture towards the bottom. You know, the one with the yellow sleeves, purple blouse, and green and blue dress. Nothing says "i'm a scray MO-FO" like a green and blue dress. I know If I we...

Re: Darth Nihilus Costume

first you need to pick what version you are going to do. The KOTOR and the COTF are much much different. The guy who is in charge of "passing" the EU as well as other Sith Lord costumes is very, very hard on the Nihilus since the pics of the costume are not in high numbers. SO you have to ...

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread

any word or updates on your vader????? Well, I finally found some material, so on Sunday I finished my inner robe (thanks for the advice Shawn!). I may have to make one adjustment when I get my shoulder armor in, but I think it turned out pretty good. I won't start on my outer cloak until I get the...

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread

I figure that I'll go with an ESB Vader. Since I already have some of the correct parts, it'll be a bit more economical for me. And I'm generally more of an OT guy anyway. I'm still waiting to get that "You're clear to view our site" email from Sithtrainingtemple.com. It's been around a w...

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread

terrell78 is right, ANH would be a bit less to do, and you can do several parts yourself. The hardest one to make would have to be the ROTS vader. Parts are still being made to look more film like, new info is still comming out since the film is not to old, better close ups. So what todays ROTS look...

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread

The rubbies shins might make it through o.k. That would probably be the only part off the shelf,But double check just to be sure. But,are the shins long enough? How tall are you? I figured that this might be a problem. I'm accurate Vader-sized (6'6"). Although in the above pictures I've notice...

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread

poh. I made the front of the shirt "Vaderesque", but the back is a real light cotton. I knew that I was going to have some trouble making the neckline so I bought an $8 turtleneck from K-Mart to build the material on. I thought that a turtleneck might work in lieu of any other headgear (th...

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread

Are you sure that I can't rock out the outfit without sleeves? Something like "Hey ladies, I see that you've bought tickets to the MCCC . Those are great, but would you like 2 tickets to the Darth Vader Gun Show instead? Don't worry... the safety is still on..." :D Anyway, you are correct...

Re: Looking for Trooper Buddies

For the helmet Mod site. It has been taken down. The guy was SL7768 a 501st member. You may want to ask him if he still has his site or renamed it. As for the belt. To me it looks like from your pic that the section under the green lens is a Hose that has been cut in half. if that part looks anythin...

Re: Looking for Trooper Buddies

Is that the Rubies Vader helmet??? Is that the one you are going to use?? If it is the one you are going to use you will need to mod the hell out of it. The Rubies Vader "as is" is not a ROTS mold as they say it is. The Rubies is a cast taken from a very high numbered/warped Don Post ESB V...

Re: Costume Bay/Costume Base Warnings

Ripcode, you should be able to get into the IOC forums and see what the IOC said abou the costume. If you want I can give you the PW to the ID only section. We had a 5 page + topic on just this costume. and also a Poll and the Costume by the IOC standards is OK as long as the mods listed are done. o...

Costume Bay/Costume Base Warnings

As for Costume Bay / Costme Base. (the ebay guy) For the Imp officer uniform. We have been talking on the IOC forums about this subject. And what the IOC (Imperial officer corp) said was that the Olive and the Grey uniform were way off and do notn look good at all. The Black Officer can be worked wi...
