Re: Turning to the dark side

Some of his other auctions have better pictures. It's very low detail recast stuff. You can get much better armor for a little more.

There are several factors in which helmet and armor are best for you. Just talking helmets the hierarchy runs something like this: FX < MR CE < A.N.H.v2 < RT < AP < TM < TE2 Keep in mind the ANHv2 is an over sized but fairly accurate helmet. All the armor makers sell by the piece, but in general avoid ebay. PM me when you figure out which ones you need.

Re: HIPS vs ABS

HIPS also captures detail better than ABS but has to be painted. The TE/TE2 armor is made from HIPS. 3mm is about 120 gauge for reference.

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread

I think the ANH Vader is the most popular, and is a hare cheaper to build. The chestbox can easily be scratch built, since the original was made of easy to find/make parts. And since the ANH inner robe/sir coat cover up most of the armor, you can go with less expensive armor since it won't be seen. ...

Re: Looking for Trooper Buddies

Here is a great mod guide. A bit more involved than most but still excellent.

PS Should this Vader build discussion be split into its own thread?
