Re: ANOVOS = Argh! (now I have to make a decision)
It's a mix and match from a couple current armor makers.
Also I wonder about the thickness of plastic, if you look on the straight on helmet shot there is a crease in the mic tip cup. That only happens when the plastic is very very thin.

You email Ripcode, the GML. The FISD doesn't approve costumes, but does approve the above and beyond programs EIB and Centurion.

Re: Quick question - Tote for Armor
I use the Stanley tote for Vader, but for my TK I use a larger rubbermade/sterilite with wheels. The stanley weighs more than the whole TK setup does.

The last I saw of the discussion was that it's strongly being considered for membership, but my two cents don't count anymore.

Re: Found the armor I want! But..
I really do want to make my own armor but with having college work, a son, and work itself, I won't have much time to work on it. Would it cost less if I just bought the kit to make my own? I don't really know how much. What everyone meant was to build your own kit instead of buying one made to fit...

Re: Found the armor I want! But..
AP armor is around $900.
Also a heads up with NE armor, it's smaller in the torso than AP, ATA, TM, etc... so take your size into consideration when armor shopping.

Don't look at me, I don't have access for such things. The MWG is well known for it's lack of proficiency with the English language.

They are made by KWD in California. There is an extensive sculpt thread on the FISD about them, but they are very size restrictive like many of Kevin's kits.

Re: Snow scout
I really need to go on the boards more often.... The concern I have is with the thigh patches. The basic scout has black patches on black flight suit. The snow scout has tan patches on a white flight suit. To be honest it looks like you had bowel issues. I proposed the idea of white or at least lig...

Re: Beginning ATA Build
I'm also interested in scissors designed to cut the plastic. Are these like tin snips? You are looking for curved tip hobby scissors, also called lexan scissors. Most RC car shops carry them for around $6 a pair. Look them over, they are bent by hand at the factory and the curve can very from pair ...

Yep, move the tape closer to the edge, you are cutting into the shoulder bell quite a bit.

Re: TK ANH Bucket Decals?
Sadly the trooperbay decals are not as nice as they used to be. Now they are on very thin vinyl that can stretch and distort just from taking them off the sheet.
Scott M has been making decals for a long time, they are layered and have a 3d look to them. Not to mention a much lower price too.
