Re: ANOVOS TK thread

Someone actually asked him that same question cause they couldn't see the strips clearly, and he replied with:

"They are all there, they just blend in a lot"

Re: Great Lakes Comic Con

Yeah, FISD is the best reading for building TK's. Glad to hear you've already been doing that!

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

Anyone who has not built a TK before should browse this thread. One of the FISD staff is doing an Anovos build thread as he goes, with photoshopped images on where to cut the pieces, etc.

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

Something else. It appears they included the cover strips for the outsides of the biceps, forearms, thighs, calves.....but no inside "cover strips" to brace the back side. So when you guys are cutting your armor parts out of the molds, save that scrap plastic from the larger torso parts. Y...

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

Well, Andy, you must hate my armor parties. We do 80% social and 20% work. :bar:  More like 98% social and 2% work..... Nope, I love your armor parties, Wags. In fact the majority of the armor parties I’ve been to since I joined the 501st were the social type. But there’s been a few I...

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

Luckily the helmets and belts come assembled (but the top 2 chicago screws will need to be removed from the holster connection to the canvas belt , and the holes either covered from inside with white cloth to hide the holes…or sew them shut…or just leave them for “weathering”). While there will be o...

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

When doing multiples of the same costume like this, it makes sense to create a schedule like that. Otherwise everyone would just sit and pick random stuff to do on their own suit. If specific sections of the body are split up like I suggested, people would all have the drive to finish that project a...

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

Good for the metro Detroit area people getting these sets! I suggest multiple armor parties, used like a big construction line.....one day everyone does arms only, the next day everyone does legs only, the next day everyone does torsos only, etc. Makes the time efficient with a group instead of ever...

Re: ANOVOS TK thread

OK, who on the west side is getting one? Midstate? Eastside? Andy? West side non-members JAYSONCOMGUY and RADARC posted on page 1 of this thread they're getting one and would like to armor party with people out there. BaldLeprechaun just posted he's from your area as well. Unsure if anyone else in ...

Re: Boot question

While a lot of Aayla’s have slightly shorter ones than that, the ones on yours don’t look excessively tall so those may work as is? Overall Aayla does have taller heels than the other jedi ladies costumes have.

Phantom Medic wrote:ANOVOS sells three TK: Snowtrooper, ShadowTrooper, and StormTrooper
Incorrect. Anovos sells one original trilogy TK (being talked about in this thread) and one episode 7 TK.

A Snowtrooper and Shadowtrooper are not TK's, as far as 501st lingo goes.

It doesn't come from Wisconsin, it comes in from China. Kenosha, WI is just the company address for Anovos because that's where Dana lives.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma design and build

I admit that I do not know a lot about that kit. does it come pre-assembled & pre-chromed? if not you have to add the price of chroming on top of those prices Not trying to discourage, just to enlighten. Comes as a kit. Not assembled. You cannot chrome a Phasma until you do the bondo and sandin...

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma design and build

http://www.therpf.com/ You're gonna have to join that message board to even see the sale section. At 5'2", you are the proper height of Leia or Jawas. We have 6 Jawas in our Garrison already. Something along those lines would be thousands of dollars cheaper to build than a Phasma, as well as wo...

Both are guys on the Replica Prop Forum. Anovos is the 3rd one who will eventually make a full suit. Theirs will cost the most money.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma design and build

Not accurate. They have a bad reputation around the Star Wars costuming community, and have had that bad rep for years! Plus that link is for the normal trooper, and we've already told you before in this thread that there are a number of differences between a Phasma set and a normal trooper set. The...
