Re: Ebay Find?

The problem with some of the older armor is some members were grandfathered in with the old suits which are now not 501st approved without some major modifications. Personally I would never buy any gear off of Ebay, you can't trust the product you will get. Post up on FISD too to get opinions there....

Re: Two birds, one stone

Working on one for now would probably be best I can sew but I've never worked with armor before. I think I'll build my snowtrooper first and see how that goes before starting other projects. Guardians of the Galaxy was great movie btw, I'd love to see the finished Starlord costume. :) Hopefully wit...

Re: Two birds, one stone

Do you want to join and troop or work on costumes? I agree with Rip and flutefreak on this one. Focusing on two costumes would be great, but time consuming. I myself have about 20 different ideas of costumes both for the 501st and just for fun, problem is just to picking one :P. Pick which one you ...

Re: ABS vs PVC

Be sure to check out your other post as I posted their too. The durability of both is good and both are commonly used by a lot of troopers. Overtime if not maintained the ABS armor can yellow. PVC can be a bit stronger, but to me does not have as glossy as a look compared to ABS. I think that most a...

Re: E-11

I don't know too much about doopydoo's, but I know that a lot of Garrison and Legion members use this kit. Almost all of my stuff came from England, blaster, armor, etc. Look forward to seeing your progress

Re: Snowtrooper

Just an update, as of right now I can not order my armor. I had an unforseen medical expense that has come up and my order must wait another few months :( But I should have an order hopefully just after Celebration (pending how much spend in California)

That is odd. It might just be the operating system on the phone. iOS and Droid operate very differently. You might be losing your 3g/4g lte signal as you send the request ?? I honestly have no idea...

If I am not mistaken, every 20 mins you can send a new troop request. However I still believe that the old one is supposed to stay... not sure

Re: Snowtrooper

Alright this is for real this time, I am ordering my kit from RS, not a commission  Should be here just after the holidays for me to start work. Still researching the soft parts (pants, duster etc.) my goal would be to have the armor done before MCCC at least

Re: Snowtrooper

Yes, if you need armor, Mr. Fett will find it for you! LOL! That's how I got mine! By your post, I thought you already had purchased the full TS costume commission from RS, hence my commentary. :P MC has about a 1 year waiting list for armor, because he makes a bunch of different types of armor kit...

Re: Snowtrooper

It is. You literally paid double what any of us have in our Snowtroopers. Speaking frankly, if you went the armor kit route like the rest of us, you could have built 2 full entire Snowtrooper costumes (1 for you as well as 1 for Lauren) for the price RS charged you for just your one. But you didn't...
