Re: Building a Tusken
It's what is called a bun foot that you sometimes find on couches to hold them off the ground. It was natural in color and me and Mark used a dremel to cut the design in it from the reference book. Then we stained it. He knows more of the details and I might have him post up a mini tutorial on it la...

Re: Building a Tusken
We keep forgetting to take a lot of progress pics. And we decided to re-do the boots...again. But the helmet is done except for weathering, putting in screens, and hooking up his fans. So, here are pics of his almost finished gaffi and his helmet. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y214/masterofthefor...

Finally got around to uploading some pics from the last two trips out to Roger's place. If they don't work, let me know.

Re: Building a Tusken
Quick Update: We almost have the gaffi stick done. Also, we should be getting the fabric soon, just waiting for funding to build up, lol. That's awesome about the face Roger, Mark is looking forward to working on that with you. I'm not sure how long it will take to finish, but I'm hoping to have thi...

Re: Pics of my armor - be honest :-)
The knee pieces are on upside down in those pics. Also, raise the bicep pieces up to that they are just under the shoulder bells. The biceps should also be spun towards the front slightly. They sit on the side of the arm, not the back.
Other than that, looks good. Great gloves and boots.

Re: Begining of my new build. Biker Scout
Definitely get the cummerbund from Ladyghost on the bikerscout.net boards. Her work is top notch. Her husband also makes the boots if you don't want to make them yourself. But the tutorial (also on BS.N) is super easy to use...I made my own using it.
