The ears look fine. The movie ones had gaps worse than yours do.

Yes, the S-trim on the bottom of the helmet does go over the bottom of the ear caps somewhat.

Just to create a more permanent hold, but I’ve never had any problems with mine coming undone.

Yep, and I never even ended up riveting my ATA helmet together. Just kept the screws and bolts in place.

We took the train down there because I hate driving in Chicago. Their public transport system is awesome and has a stop right outside McCormick Place (not sure if this is where Wizard World is at). Yep. Always gotta watch the unconfirmed section just as much as the confirmed section. They will become events if anyone signs up for them. You can either heatgun them a little bit to be able to bend them into position, or honestly most guys will leave them.....The ammo belt face gets riveted to the canvas belt.
