Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread
Rob, Shawn, Phil...
Is there any one version of Vader that is easier to build? Or are they all equally tough?
Which version seems to be most popular currectly?
Which version has the most reference material?

Hey Shawn!shawnpane wrote:To be honest,
The rubbies shins might make it through o.k.
That would probably be the only part off the shelf,But double check just to be sure.
But,are the shins long enough? How tall are you?
I was wondering when you would get here and check in and help out in this thread!

Correct.Yoda Jenkins wrote:Is it true that no Rubies items are good enough for the 501st?
However, a modified and repainted Vader helmet (to be more accurate) and modified and re-painted armor would more likely be accepted.
Straight out of the box Rubies Vader gear is a NO-GO.

Re: Mike's Vader Build Thread
Unmodified Rubies Vader gear is NOT 501st acceptable. Sith Lord standards are VERY high!Yoda Jenkins wrote:The gloves are the Rubies. I take it that they're not up to snuff?

I hate for him to spend a lot of work and money into this and find out that it is not canon. Rip you know what we have for him so far and we only have about 1/3 of it ...

Re: Costume Bay/Costume Base Warnings
I split the Costume Bay/Costume Base opinion posts off into it's own thread. :) I am glad you guys are talking about this vendor. A lot of people are under the impression they are buying 501st approved costumes from this vendor. From what I have heard and what you guys are saying that doesn't sound ...
