Re: Helmet help?!

Heat gun it. Wear some gloves to protect your hands and keep heating and slightly bending/moving it until it's about where you want it.

Re: Great Lakes Fitness Center

Exactly what Rome said. "Spot reduction" is a total myth. You can only lose general body fat over your entire body, not lose it quicker in one area than another. Typically with females, they seem to lose weight from the head down most commonly.

Re: The Few, The Proud, The White

OK, since the Lucas Star Wars universe has practically everything being weathered, you guys all have to weather your Snowtroopers! At the Griffins event yesterday, there were 3 Snowtroopers, all with prisine white armor. Look at the screen-used Snowys, all of them except the commander in the AT-AT h...

Re: Chewbacca build!!

Based on the rest of his builds, I'm sure his finished Chewie will be stunning enough to up the bar for the level of Chewie costumers around the world.

Those pics of the Chewie in the snow are great! That too is a well done costume.

I saw Duck's mask kit thread on the RPF. His stuff is amazing. That will be a tremendous addition to your costume. :)

Re: What do I do now?

I've met or heard of many costume/prop makers who operate the same way. You'll get your stuff eventually, but they always seem to take on too many orders at one time when costumers are throwing money at them. Too hard to say "no, I don't want your cash right now, maybe later when I have time to...

Re: need sandtrooper backpack.

A little of it goes a long way on a suit. Kim's whole armor and pauldron and shoes were done with probably 1 lb or less of the stuff. I put it on with one of those sponge brushes, and then you use (unscented) Aqua Net hair spray and it adheres it to the plastic...... Don't ask me, the guy who gave m...

Re: need sandtrooper backpack.

And I personally think the "fuller's earth" bit is a stretch since nobody really explains what it is, where to get it, and why it should be given preference. I only used it on Kim's Sandtrooper because another Sandy gave me some bags of it for free. I heard it's some sort of art med...

Awesome! I've seen a couple of those at cons before and they always impress me. Now all you need is a crew of Snow Troopers to man it.
