Hello Hello from Livonia

Hello Hello fellow Michiganders!

I go by Junos, 20M and I currently reside in Livonia Michigan. While I'm no 501st member, I'm working towards joining.

I've admired the 501st for years and years, and always see you guys at the Metro City Comic Con in either Cobo, or the Renaissance Center. It's been awhile due to work keeping me busy though, but I'd like to change that!

While I'm a bit new to the Imperial side of things, as in the years earlier I was a lurker on the Clone forums, I have decided to go with a R1 TK build via 850armorworks + HeadshotProps, after reviewing FISD, other communities and the open store pages behind these armorers.

Its certainly been a lifelong goal to own a film ready / 501st set of armor, and I can't wait to begin!

Hope to run into you all again soon! I just missed out on seeing you all at the many TROS screenings.

Welcome Junos!

Have you already purchased your kit? We've got some great folks downstate that can help you with your build, hopefully we've got some armor parties coming up in the future!

All the hard parts are 'scheduled' to ship by mid Feburary, though that's just the estimations given online. Not including an E-11. Still looking into those.

Good luck with the build. A lot of us TKs to ask questions to.

Thanks a ton for the offer, I possibly may take up the support, as this is my first time with this kind of large project. :)
Most of the equipment has came in, the last things I'm waiting for is Boots, Gasket and then the kits themselves for the armor, helmet and E-11.

Cool. I'll be interested to know what E-11 kit you got and see how it looks and goes together!

Let me know. More notice is better, but do what I can. You can find me on facebook: Michael J. Rose

The E-11 is one of the few prebuilt things actually. I looked around on Whitearmor and found the builder after some positive recommendations. Its a standard E-11 however, so to make it a R1, I'll have to do some modifications.

Armor kit - 850armorwork
Helmet kit - Headshotprop
Prebuild E-11 - QuestDesignCanada

I would recommend Walts Trooper Factory for your TK. He provides armor and helmets. For the E-11 I would recommend Premier Props on Facebook.

I ended up going with QuestDesignCanada for the E-11, 850Armorworks for the armor and Headshot Props for the Helmet. The E-11 needs some modifications to meet Rogue 1 standard, but 850 and HSP are specifically built Rogue 1 kits. Hopefully by the end of March I'll have all the hard stuff, there's been many delays. I already have 98% of all the soft gear / tools. Really only need the paints now.

Walt's doesn't sell Rogue 1 kits, otherwise I more than likely would have went with him. That or Jimmi, if I was able to contact him when I was ordering stuff / budgetting.

"Why did you go with R1 Junos?"

I feel its a really nice modernization of the TKs, and how they should have looked always, just that the technology and molds for sharper lines were harder / unavailable to do in the OT.

Today is BBB day 1! The kit from 850armorworks came in. Still waiting for Headshotprops to send the helmet. Its quite intimidating with everything spread out, but I think I should be fine. With this virus going around, it would be unreasonable to ask for 1 on 1 help.
