Great Lakes Garrison & Base

Hello Everyone!
I would normally post this in the Off-Duty Events, but apparently as a visiting member I can't post there. So! I am going to recently come into possession of a new set of TD armor (Thanks Terrel!) that I need to work on. I also need to finish off my IG set. In the interest of getting my butt into gear and also maybe meeting some of you, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having an armor party either sometime in December or in January?

I know a lot of the troops here in Michigan are on Saturdays, So I figured this could be a Sunday event. As for where, I honestly don't care! If it means meeting more of you and having a nice garage/workshop/heated space to work in, I am perfectly willing to drive to Grand Rapids/Lansing/Detroit/wherever!

So, any interest?

Hi, I have a 1000 square foot heated shop with a restroom, two tv's with surround sound, great lighting, and lots of cool tools. Course I do believe I live the farthest away from most folks. Buchanan Michigan just across the border from South Bend Indiana. More than willing to host a build party! Curt

Well Curt, even if no one else is interested I may take you up on that offer some time! You aren't that far from me

Currently we are building the ANH NE (Nostalgic Empire) armor. Very nice set. All the arms and legs or done, Torso is trimmed and doing straps and snaps.

How is the kit? I was looking into it. Abs?

ABS. Lots so room to fit a big guy. Beautiful shine right out the box. Strong, thick extreme detail with crisp lines. Very well done.

Welp, my TD kit arrived today. I may have to arrange a time to come down and meet you Vader.

Are you coming to the comic and toy show this weekend? I would love to see the ne helmet. To see if it's large enough for my big dome

Welp, January and a New Year are now upon us! Is there anyone else who would be interested in a armor party one of these Sundays? Maybe on the 19th or the 26th?

I am good for the 26th. To host in my neck of the woods.

Ok Guys, Shop is open Monday any time after 9:00am. Address is 314 McCumber St. Buchanan, Michigan 49107.
The street is a dead end and I am the two story grey house on the right side, second for the end of the street. There is an yellow Model A wheel on the mail box. 1920 for those who are interested. Just come on down the driveway and you will see the shop at the end of the drive. Personnel door on the left side of shop. Just come in. Snacks and refreshments on hand. And heat too!

I am planning on coming unless we have a blizzard (again).

Swung by Vader's place yesterday, beautiful workshop and an awesome atmosphere. I am really excited about the 26th and I hope more people decide to join us!

Thanks to all that came. Great time and a lot of work was accomplished. Great to have TK's, Vaders, Gunners, Sand's along with Batman, Dredd and Ghostbusters too! Had the Northern Darkness and the Midwest Garrison represented as well. Looking forward to the 26th for another great time.

I'm still planning on coming, depending on weather of course!
