Clone Helmet Question

Post by C3PIO »

Hello, I hope you are all doing well! I've been working on 3d printing a phase 2 clone trooper helmet for the 501st legion ever since quarantine began. I'm having trouble finding any accurate pictures/files of the two nozzles at the bottom of their helmets. Does anybody know what they are called in order to look them up, or have a previously saved file of one? Thank you!

Aerators.

I believe Galactic Armory has accurate files. I know a few people have been approved with their armor.

Hello, I'm back.
I fallowed your advice with painting the helmet flat white and I think it looks awesome! However, I know that my standards are much lower than the people who admit clones into the 501st. I put in 5 pictures of different angles of the helmet and I was wondering about your guys' opinions. If it could pass as "screen accurate" after I paint it, or if there's anything I could fix, or if I should just give up and get a kit. I think some of the indents could be passed of as battle damage if I weathered it correctly.
Also I know the back is not on. I am using this response to judge how much effort I should put into the back.

Thank you so much for your help! :D

Not too bad. Only part that looks off to me is the chin part seems a bit too warped.

I see what you mean. Do you think if I cut off the existing vocoder and printed a new one it would fix the issue or look less off?

That would probably work. Are you also on the forums at 501stclonetroopers.com? Lots of great advice there too.
