Looks great, are you going to be vacuforming these or making a master to cast in resin? I've been toying around with making an A-wing pilot costume, since Carolyn doesn't like the orange as much, lol.

Well I want to do them out of resin like most new style buckets because it will hold better detail and is easyier for me to do in my spare time. But I am concerned with the weight of it all. so when it's closer to being done I'll hammer all that out. also green beats orange any day!
@ rome : I'm gonna dub this project lobot thanks to you. lol

ok! Today is my birthday, so as a gift to all of you guys & gals I have an update.
I smoothed and evened it out a bunch, added the ear hubs, the ear hollows, and side vents. I just need a few more of the small details and the base will be ready to cast.
now what you really want. THE PICS!

hit me up with some feed back.

The front shot has the center blast shield piece in it. I'm just starting the arms now.
I still have a lot of triming, bondo, and sanding work to do but it's lookin great

Not too shabby! All I can see is veryminor smoothing work here and there, but it's only the anal retentive bit in me that even bothers. I dont know much(re: anything) about A-Wings or their pilots, but I can say this:
Great looking sculpt man!
Great looking sculpt man!

Top is fairly strait and even, but the bottom ring/lip is really uneven from left to right. I tried my best to sculpt under there, but I knew I'd have to fix it in post as they say. lol
here's a shot of the helmet from the movie.
