Galen Marek - TFU Ceremonial Jedi

Post by Lumpy »

Bought this from a guy on the RL boards for a song.

Need to remake the white sash around the middle as he was a little slimmer than me. I have a blue saber to go with it as well.

Very cool. I'm hoping to do Starkiller after I finish my KOTOR Nihilus.

I think Starkiller looks, well..., killer too! Have you located anyone who makes his stuff or would you be doing it all?

Would not need to have some one do it, this costume would be very easy to do yourself and notcounting boots, you could do it for under 100.00

My Nihilus cost me under 125.00 to make not counting the mask or boots.

I'll be doing the undersuit stuff. I'm going to do the helmeted version, which, as far as I know, is not approved for the 501st. There were several starkiller helmet makers around on the RPF.

Yep, my KOTOR Nihilus is up to about $200....but I still need the saber. I'll probably get a nice dueling saber, but I'm not going to be able to afford it until next year sometime.

I think it might be 501st approved. We have a couple at The Dark Empire though. This one I believe was at CV.

SlvrCrest, you're right. I misread the Flagship Eclipse forums and thought that only the Starkiller TIE Factory/Training gear were approvable. Makes me want to start on that costume even more.

Holy Crap!!!!!!!! That is so awesome I think I just plotzed!!!!!!! :jawdrop:

Might be easy if I had the mad skillz like you, Kal, but I am stuck just trying to glue two pieces of ABS together...seriously...my hands are literally stuck to my face with CA glue like McCauly Flippin' Caulkin, all Home Alone and stuff  !

If I could go Starkiller like these pics I would NEVER change out of that outfit! Never!!

The costume Lumpy has could be done for under 150.00 start to stop.
Fabric- 80.00 ( final fabric and cheap stuff for a test run )
Patern - 10.00
Boots - 30-60

The Sith Stalker costume that is posted just over your post, could cost up to 1,000 if you had to buy it all. But looking at it, there is quite a bit that can be done on your own, and save you a boat load of money.

Patterns you could get cheaper if you watch who's on sale at Jo-Ann fabrics for abounr 99 cents to 1.99...When I have money to spare...-eyes her floor and over flowing tote- I buy what I can and extra of the same pattern.

Sometimes as well with a few costumes it doesn't hurt to look through all the books and mix and match patterns to use. If you are a sewing novice and have never done anything yourself use McCall's patterns. Very easy to use and follow.
Rodney McKay: *mumbeling around his food* You need to get out more.
Carson Beckett: We're in another galaxy, how much more out can you get?
