Wow...lots of activity here but it has nothing to do with my build

Tony & I got a lot of work done this evening. He trimmed down my ab, back and cod piece (I'm still not 100% sure of my skills with the dremel) and taped them up. I'm sure he'll post some pics later. Still some minor tweaking to do to make the ab fit a bit better. I was told I need to strap down the um...."girls" to make the ab and chest piece fit.

I've been working on stripping the paint off Harp's old belt. He bought himself a new one so I get the hand me down. It has to be stripped before I can repaint it black. Tony picked up some new paint today and we'll be test painting a small piece to see if it works better than the Tulips on the belts. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Got my first armor injury this evening as I stabbed myself with the screwdriver I was using to chip off the paint. Guess that makes me official now...Tony shared the bandaids with me. :?

It's raining like crazy at the moment and he's still working in the garage so I'm sure there will be plenty of progress by morning.

By the way...that salsa I'm making...it's hot! :rotflmao:

First, this thread got so derailed, and it has been ..."SUPER DUPER" for all of the Will Farrell fans out there. I laugh everytime I read something. So keep the fun coming!!!!!

I like the new title!!!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

But back to the work, yes the wife put the wip to me tonight...... so here are some progress pics. We will be getting a lot of work done this week.... and yes THE NEW PAINT WORKS ON THE BELT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait to get the new coat on it. Of course, its $12 a can, but worth every penny!!!

So with out further adue(Im sure that is spelled wrong lol) here they are. I will take more tomorrow.

Do what Kelli has to do. Wear a really snug fitting sports bra to "flatten" them down.

That is the only way her Biker Scout chest armor properly fits her.

Thanks for the suggestion Rip!

More progress has been made...just need to take some pictures! We (meaning Tony) painted by shoulder bells, knees and elbows. We did a bit more work last night on the ab/back/cod piece to get it to fit just right. It's proving to be a challenge to put together a clone for someone with hips  but I think it fits pretty good right now.

I've made some more progress on chiseling the old paint from Harps belt. Not a fun project by any means! Another night of scraping and we should be ready for some new paint. Harps new belt came in the mail yesterday and all I can say is that I tried everything possible (bribes and trickery) to get him to trade...no go! I know what I'm saving my extra cash for now!!

We might have an issue with the thighs as the ABS is very thin in one spot but I think once they're trimmed down we should be okay. Might have to put in some extra ABS to support but we'll have to work with it to see how it goes. No extra dinero in the budget right now to buy some more thighs although I think Tony's looking forward to buying more OSCS parts if he gets the chance!

More work might get done tonight if the weather hold up and my hubby comes back home before I go to bed. Otherwise, I'll try to post up more progress pictures.

So, we were out working again last night. Got a couple of coats of paint on the belt, painted the cod and ab piece and got the left thigh fit a glued and ready to be filled tonight. Ohh, and the old saying the measure 2million times and cut once, Yea.. I fogot that rule last night and chopped the right thigh. Not to worry though, I actually got the piece that I cut off and reglued it, filled it with ca, and sanded it down. You can see it in one of the pix. There arent 2 pencil lines, the bottom one is a glue line. I had to back it with some abs. After that I figured it was time to go in the house.....

And as for the paint for the belt, Thanks to Sci-Fire for the paint tip. We painted their belt that Harp bought AND the regular belt, that I got from Atin, with it and so far after it sat for the night, I did some twisting and bending and it seams to be holding up. Right now I have about 6 super thin coats on it and Im going to do some touch ups tonight and it should be ready. There is a pic of it with the belt. Im lucky, we have a paint supply company and they carry it in stock. $12 dollars a can, but I have spent about $50 in tulips paint already.

Should have put the $50 toward a new belt!!! Hindsight right?

Seriously the Sci-Fire belt is such a huge improvement! I'm looking foward to see how it holds this weekend for the Wal-Mart/Hasbro/Clone Wars event.

And for the record, I orignally wanted to be a "Relish" clone commander but I was advised that the Hasbro 3-3/4 figure I was eyeballing was not GL canon.

"Super Duper" thread everybody!!!

Now I must get back to sculpting my guns.....its boring, I know, but its my life.
