Armor epoxy

Post by Moff Man »

As i found out at the Weird Al show , hot glue doesn't stick to ABS very well ( thank Crom for white ducktape). Jay mentioned that you need epoxy to glue those snaps on real good. Can you give me some names or leads on what type or brand i should use?

Thanks Moff

E6000 is also a good all-purpose adhesive, without the nasty epoxy smell. I've seen it at Meijer in the hardware section and at Michael's & JoAnn where the other adhesives are. It starts out as a viscous liquid, but it gels over time, which makes it really easy to work with then.

I would use E6000 if you want to be able to take something apart later.

Devcon Plastic Welder is fairly permanent in it's hold.

And even after 3 years, I still find that I need to do periodic adjustments to my TK pieces. The thighs are currently held together with clear cellophane packaging tape...from last year's Griffins game!

Make sure it's Devcon plastic welder and not Devcon plastic epoxy. The epoxy is black  .

You can also use Super Glue Plastic Fusion. It is a 2-part epoxy that is pretty much the same as Devcon Plastic Welder.

I have used both and they perform (and stink the same while drying) equally well.

I can't find Plastic Fusion on the east side of the state. I got mine from a friend in Oregon.
