This hair punching is SLOW going!!
I'm working away, though.

Phase 1 (out of 7 areas) is basically complete.



I still have some fine tuning right up against the mouth to try and cover up the "hair plug" look, but for my own mental well being, it was time to move on to the next area.

PS - For those of you who are wondering just how nuts I am - this one section took about 12 hours.

Chris is really taking this all the way for accuracy. I saw this in his case at the last event:

Use the bottom IMG code from Photobucket and copy and paste into the thread. You don't even need the buttons at the top here, it puts the IMG code in for you this way. (now I'm nervous)

Actually, my mask smells like Suave - it's got about 1/2 a can on it already.

Quick update. The punching is going much faster and smoother now. Obviously some major trimming to do, but I'm quite pleased so far.

For the face, are you going to do the trimming yourself or take it to a beautician? I ask seriously, not in jest and with no disrespect to your trimming abilities. Also, which hair style for chewie are you doing: A New Hope/ESB or the part he had on Endor in RotJ?

Its coming along quite nicely....starting to look like a wookiee and not Dr. Zaius!

I'm doing the slick back ANH/ESB version. Never cared for the ROtJ part myself.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow to go visit my sister's school (actually Lord Vader is going to visit), so I should have LOTS of time to get some more done!! Will post my progress.

Didn't quite get as much time today as I'd hoped, but I at least got this far......



The goal is to be ready to take approval pictures by about this time next week. I need to finish the face, trim things up and I'm ready for my closeup!!!

I did a little trimming this afternoon (it was bowling night so I didn't have much time). The 'stache is better length wise, but still needs some thinning I think.

He's posting on the RL boards too.
His is coming out very nice, but he normally comes off kinda cocky whenever anyone suggests something. This is of course opposed to me who is the first person to say that going into this, I have NO FRICKIN' IDEA what I was doing!!

Still have the the last couple areas to punch, the hair to glue on the bridge of the nose, and the trimming to do (basically everything from the eyes down).

Hope to have things ready to send in my submissions pictures by the end of the week!!
