Ok.... yea, yea, yea.... The paint it done :bar: I should have listened to Mike and Stevo in the first place, I pulled out the old model supplies ( I used to do a lot of model building) and finished it up by hand. The paint scheme is done and I will be clear coating it tomorrow... I cant wait   It could have came out better if the spray paint would have stuck, but I think it still looks good. No new pics, but I will put some up tomorrow (monday).

Ah Yeah!
I dont know what kind of suit he has but.You should really try and find A cooling vest for him before the con.
VADER GETS HOT! Really really hot!
If he is just kinda walking around posing for pics,it's not real bad. But if your on the move.Say Droid hunt,It gets almost unbearable.
I would recomend one with A cammel back.I have cooling pouches in the front and back.I cannot use the ones inthe front because of the chest box.(makes it look funny) (tillted to one side)But freeze those suckers for A few hours and put them in the back. They cool at 56f for 4-5 hours.
He will be super happy that he has one.
In the winter months. There are almost no problems. But come spring and summer,It gets hot hot hot
I have 3 2 inch fans inside my mask. They do very little.2 push inside the mask while one pulls the air out. They don't do A whole hell of A lot. What kind of goves do you have?
Prepair for your hands to be stained black for A day or two.
I can't wait to see it!

SOOOOOOOOO, after many hours in the man cave, Vader is DONE!!!! It was raining out so we had to do the pix in the garage. Many, many, .....MANY long nights were put into this so lets hope it goes well. I myself am VERY pleased. The inner cape and outer cape were made by Mike. The body suit was made by Mike and I and many long hours of sewing 1 inch lines in them.... The chest box was made by Mike and I with the resin parts, the mask and dome are a rubies HEAVILY modified and many coats of paint and wax, rubies shins with 4 inches added to them and repainted and waxed, ESB gloves off of the legion boards.Cod,belt and chest armor bought off the internet. Chest painted by Mike and I.

So there it is. Also, many of the new pix Mike doesent have is neck ring in cause my kids wanted to be "choked out" by Uncle Mike...lol So I made him put his gear back on and we forgot it.

And on a side note, Mike is about 6'11" fully geared up....  He has to duck when walking out the door. AWESOME!!!! All I can say is... BA!!! lol

Good Gawd!
6" 11' holy crap! What Vader are you going for? The chest box is empire, but the shoulder armor looks off to me.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news.It does look damn good. But, I don't know if it will past for membership.
But there's only one way to find out.

We were going for Empire. Did we paint the bells wrong? I've seen the grey/black bells on some Vaders (I thought that was ROTJ?). Or is the grey color we used on the shoulder armor too light?

Anyway, I already sent it in, so let's hope for the best (but prepare for the worst!). I figure I'll still wear it this weekend even if it wrong. You guys won't point and laugh at me will you?

When the time comes to upgrade. You may wana look into a ESB JB or SPFX mask. Here are the 2 side by side.

Your cape and robe look good. But other soft parts you may wana look for "LA" he makes very good stuff and is priced well. The armor color looks a bit bright but that can be from the flash. My armor looked gold in some pics with the flash on.

I think Rob hit the nail on the head,
Of corse I am going to laugh at you. Geez! :rotflmao: You should have seen my first fett.  It was horrible.
I wasn't even thinking of your shoulder bells.Just that the chest is really bright.
Rob is probably correct about the flash.I didn't even think of that.
Make no mistake,For what you guys accomplished in this amount of time was incredable.I don't think I could have done it.
The good news is,You don't have to be approved for the comic con. I assume this will be his first full day dressed?
You will learn a lot. What needs to be fixed, what needs to be glued instead of velcro ect.... A learning experiance.
