TK9317's Tusken Build (Pic Heavy) FINISHED!

Post by Sleg »

After watching the recent flury of Tusken builds I got the bug.
I got the head and hardware from Roger at MCCC and have been working on my Tusken since then.
(Thanks again Roger!)

Here are some pics of my progress.

Me screwing around with the cloth strips...I actually like the dreadlock look but I do not think it is in this year!

I used the tutorial from TK409 for this. Turned out nice.

I am also working on putting sound on the costume. Either in the head, robes, or the bandoliers.

Nothing will scar the crap out of someone quicker than a blood curdling Tusken scream.

I have the inner robe started and will have to do some sewing soon.
I will be working on an outer robe as well.

Next step is to add the last pieces of hardware to the head and start wrapping/glueing.
Gaffi will progress too.

Here are a couple update pics of the head.

I installed the fan a couple days ago and other than the weathering/dirtying the head is finished.

The inner robe is progressing nicely and the gaffi is just about done as well. Painted some today.
Weathering/dirtying of the gloves/arms and feet/legs and I will be very close.

OK...so here a couple of pics of the Tusken Child.
It is coming along.
I even made Zane a smaller scale gaffi.
Smaller...but just as deadly.

Zane and I have a couple more things to do on it before it is finished.
Like...
make the arm wraps and glove and weather them.
finish the velco on the leg wraps/boots and weather them.
finish the paint/weather scheme on the sweater.
make the sash and weather it and attach it to the vest.
apply velco to the belt of the little purse. :rotflmao:
install some fans in the bucket.

Here are the pics...
