Biker Scout Build
Well, it's official...finally!
I'm waiting for my fancy box of armor to arrive any day now. I'm going TB! I love my clone but I'd really like to be able to sit down in armor
I've been doing tons and tons and tons of research and can't wait to start on the project. Armor is on the way, boots are here and waiting for their facelift, need to get my flight suit, gloves, etc. I'll document it all along the way. Hoping to have it done by the end of the summer (just have to find a bucket to go with it all!)
Stay tuned...

Awesome. What armor kit did you get?
Re: Biker Scout Build
Sweet!!
I'm bringing my shadow scout over one of these days to work on (which I think is the same maker as yours) - so Wags will get a good idea what to expect!!

Re: Biker Scout Build
My shiny box of armor arrived today!!
I can almost hear the dremel now...
LOTS of trimming to do. I think some modifications are going to be due too...some pieces look REALLY big. If Tony can shrink a clone, I'm sure he can do wonders with a Scout!

Or just throw it in cold water, that does the trick some times

Re: Biker Scout Build
Are you kidding me? lol. I havent even touched it. The "Princess" has been to busy watching her "stories" at night, and this one is her baby. Since she gets the second costume first, she gets to do the research...
I did however, spend the night making her a tank topper. Atins tank is small, so I had to make a mini version. It will be done tomorrow. I ripped the guts out of an old computer to get some of the greeblies I needed for it. According to the ones Ive seen
She doesent even have a helmet yet.

Re: Biker Scout Build
I'll get to it...I'm in no rush as Tony said, I don't even have a helmet yet. Need some of the funds to get the other pieces to put it all together. I'm no good with a dremel (he's even said he would trim so he doesn't have to take me to the hospital...yes, I'm that bad with sharp things!)
"Princess" has been busy trying to finish her masters degree so while I take 35 minutes out of my day to catch up on my favorite soap the rest of the evening is usually doing homework AND checking out the research needed for this costume. Come October I'll actually have spare time on my hands after work and I'll probably wonder what to do to keep myself busy!
I'll no longer be that short Shock Trooper either! I think this costume "fits" me better. I love my clone but this is one I'm really excited about!

Re: Biker Scout Build
Time to dust off this thread!
Helmet is here (although it needs to be assembled, etc.), armor has had minor trimming done (to say I'm afraid of the dremel is an understatement), gloves are purchased and they fit wonderfully, boots still need a facelift, etc...
This could take a while since Tony is now working afternoons and I only see him awake on the weekends and my evenings are spent carting the kids from cross country, girl scouts, cub scouts, catechism and whatever else they come up with during the week...but I've set a goal to have this done by MCCC next year.
So, let the fun begin (again...)

Re: Biker Scout Build
Im actually going to work on this for you tonight luv. Just have to clean off the table in the MC and dig it out.
The helmet has been worked on and I have cut her knees down about 40% from original size so they fit her frame. The origianal ones were kinda big on me Back tank has also been worked on. I have more done then she knows

Re: Biker Scout Build
I've set myself (but mostly my hubby) a goal...I want to be done by mid-February. Let's see if we can make that happen. Have to order my flight suit as soon as I'm done shopping for Christmas. Boots are in hand, just need to follow the tutorial and get them modified. Biggest part will be modifying the HUGE armor and making it more "me" sized. I leave that fun up to Tony I figure if he can shrink a clone, he can do anything!
