do throat mics work good with those? thinking a regular mic wouldn't be good due to all the air being blown around by my fans.

Howdy, you shouldn't have a problem with white noise using the included boom mic as it is uni-directional, and only truly works if your mouth is practically eating the mic, LOL. However, yes: throat mics will work excellently with the Aker amps. I use a Fire Fox Commando Throat Mic. You have to play with the microphone placement to find your "sweet spot" but then you can boom your voice out with authority.

Its not the quality of the mic, its the size. I am limited on what I can squeeze under my helmet.. I got me a fat head.. lol.

And the truth comes out....

Now, the next question. Are you practicing your New Zealand accent?

*facepalm* Well, I'm not sure of the fit in a clone/TK helmet as I've only worn my Mando (working on an RC in the future). But a throat mic is a great option!

Ah, well you'd have to experiment with it blowing on your face. In either case a throat mic will solve that problem.
