New Sandie build.

Post by tk192 »

I have been rather absent for the last couple of months and to bring everyone up to speed I have been working on my newest costume. I have begun the trek toward my cantina version of the sandtrooper. I have now completed the entire upper body and obtained my pouches, pauldron and my "Move Along" back pack. Here is a direct link if anyone is interested in seeing the progress.

Very good weathering job. Fuller's Earth is the best for Sandy's! At least that's what I am seeing on that pauldron.

I agree although it is each individual troopers choice. I like the gritty appearance that the Fullers brings to it ! Now I have a clean tk and a TD. Clean or dirty? I have both now.

Don't kill me cause I'm just trying to help, but notice on your right knee ammo boxes, you have them bolted low on the plastic onto the thigh armor, with the longer plastic side sticking up above the front of the thigh armor. On the real suits, it's the opposite. The long side hangs down below the whole thigh armor itself. View attached pic:

I see that. Unfortunately the thigh armor cannot handle that much being cut off to fit me.

It's fine if it's mounted higher and you are shorter than the average trooper.
