Under suit for Winter

Post by TKed »

summer is almost over and I am preparing for fall/winter trooping. Some troops are outside such as parades and other events. The question is how to keep warm when trooping? Any specific under suits that are thermal?

Some have the cold gear from Under Armor. I've worn thermal undergarments under my regular under armor. There are also heat packs that hunters use that you can stick to yourself before you get dressed.

Also, stay out of the wind as much as possible and dont stand still. The waiting period for parades in the cold are the worst.

I also have a question on this. Is it appropriate for Mara to wear a long sleeve under armor shirt for any parades in the winter?

Unless otherwise specified, most parades are very relaxed. Safety first. So do what you have to do to be warm.

At the end of the day there is only one real solution. Put the white pants on after Labor Day and become part of the Thundersnow Assault Squad of Snowtroopers.

That's obviously the correct answer.

Or, option B, become a slith lord, wear black leather sweat suit with layers of wool. A 10 degree parad will feel like a summer day.

One thing about the hunter heating packs: DO NOT put them in your shorts. If you're unsure, just remember the liquid heat scene from Revenge of the Nerds.

All the "main types" of Imperial armor you see... Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper, Snowtrooper...for the entire costume top to bottom, they're usually roughly about $1,000 each. That price can go up or down a bit depending on "brand of armor", blaster choice, etc. There's a number of variables, but that's a good rough estimate for any of those armor types.
