Newbie looking to start Boushh costume

Post by Whogirl9 »

Hello,

I just joined the 501st as a Jawa, and even though its a super fun costume, I'd really like to make a Boushh costume as well. I'm looking for recommendations on where to get the helmet, and also looking for anyone who is maybe looking to sell their Boushh costume, or costume pieces.

Thank you,

Amanda

There's a few people over the years who have sculpted the helmet. Some reference on the costume could be found in this forum here:

Boushh is one of the more expensive of the Star Wars costumes, because most of it is made from leather/suede, and very few people make the armor parts, etc.We have 2 in the Garrison right now, so maybe if those ladies see this thread, they'd be able to chime in on stuff.

You also may want to shoot Anna Rossman a pm and ask her about her boush costume. Hers looks great.

Hi. I'm not sure if your still looking for info on building a Boushh costume
But I have some info on this. First let me say congrats for choosing a stellar costume
to do. Now for the warning: this is not an EZ costume to do and definitely not cheap
I did a Boushh costume for my wife that took me nearly 4 years to complete off and on.
The entire soft parts were all custom made including the boots. Actual suede sewn leather
for the overlay on the pants. Not to mention the electronics for the helmet.
I calculated the total amount invested to be between $4000-$4500 for full completion.
Please checkout the following we link for other info, resources, costume screen shots etc...
This was my sole source of info when I did my wife's.
Good Luck.
