The goal is to have the latch hooking done by the time the mask arrives. I hope the mask arrives by Dec. 18 because I'm off of school for 2 weeks after that so I would have lots of hair punching time!!!
Till then feel free to use the head of my Ewok

The plan is to be done latch hooking by next Thursday (the 10th) and then work on the trimming while I'm sitting around not having parent/teacher conferences. I love my job!!!
Who's up for a little wookiee nookie! I love the layering you've done with the hair colors. Does the material you've sewn it have a wicking action to keep sweat off you? Otherwise you'll be soaked in minutes!
On a side note, have you sold your shadow scout armor yet? If not, how much are you asking for it? Feel free to contact me @ sionnach_liath@yahoo.com if you don't want to deal with it here.

I also shortened the shirt a little this morning so it doesn't hang down quite as much over the pants.
I'll have my son take a couple of pics tomorrow and post them up.
Congrats!
So now you're just waiting on the mask to arrive, right?
Correct. Check with duck (the one making the mask - not the one making the crossbow) and he's hoping to have it in the mail by the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed!!
OK gang - enough ooohing and aaaahing.
It's time for some serious critiquing. I can see the finsh line from here, but I want to be sure I'm finishing strong. I've trimmed the shirt (at least what I'm going to do until I get some feedback). Let me know what you thing (good or bad)

First off. I think it is great that MI will have a Chewie costume. You have done a very good job from what we have seen. Have not seen the mask, but if it is anything like the rest of the work. We know it will be good.
The only thing I can see from you pics, is that Your arms look long but your leg area looks to short. Like the manpurse you have looks like it is near your knee and not your hip.
I know you added some lift to the feet, but some time a LONG time form now, dry wall stilts may be a mod you can do to upgrade it.
I will stand next to you in all your pics, that way you will look like you are 8 feet +
I'm trying to figure out a pain free way to shorten the bandolier a touch so the sachel is closer to my hip instead of my knee (I agree it looks a little low). My first idea was to swap the concho and the grommett that holds the bandolier together.
Originally the concho was on top closer to the first box. I've put this on my build thread on the RL boards to see if it's allowed or not.??
Here is after round 1 of trimming - I say round 1 because I'm definately not done yet!!
I at least have some spacing between the legs as well as between the arms and the body. Also the shirt hair doesn't hang down to my knees anymore. Looks like I still need some general thinning of the body and especially around the bottom of the legs (near the floor). I also boosted the bandolier a bit. I think it definately helped.
At first I was thinking too much grey...
However, I pulled some pics from our trip to SW Weekends and compared to thier Chewy (which was INCREDIBLE)it is Spot ON!
Looks really really good Chris.
You are doing a hell of a job!
