Can we use EVA foam?

Greetings!

My wife and I are new members and looking to make our first costumes and joining the Great Lakes Garrison! My question is this: are we allowed to use EVA foam for costume pieces? My wife can make pieces of armor and it looks just as though it was 3-D printed. Is this allowed for armor quality of the Great Lakes Garrison?

Thanks all!

While I've seen some seriously awesome looking EVA costumes of all sorts of genres at conventions, it seems none of the Star Wars costume groups (501st/Rebels/Mando Mercs) allow EVA foam armor builds. Some accessory pieces, sure, I can see that being done. But for main armor kits, I've never personally seen it.

You should read each CRL carefully for the details to see what is allowable for specific kits. I am a stormtrooper and found this for my kit.

- The armor parts shall be made from one of these types of materials or like materials: White fiberglass, ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene), or Polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

EVA foam is not allowed for builds.
