Great Lakes Garrison & Base

Well as most of you know my son Dylan used to have a Jango Fett costume that I made for him 2 yrs ago.

Here is it:



Well since kids have to be rude and out grow their costumes, I have started work on a New one for him. Dylan's best friend is Jaster. So he wanted to stick with the Mando style costume. He drew one up (as best he could) and I said I will try my best to make it for him.
So after a few days and a few hrs of work, this is what I have so far.

The armor is a Black Metal color. He also will have a dark red cape Boba Style. The Jump suit will also be black. The colors he is picking for this seem to look like the Mando Walon Vau. He was one of the guys who helped train the Republic Comandos.

Chest,AB & shoulder armor:

Looks great so far! It will be neat to see him and Jaster side by side once Dylans Mando is done.

Yep, though I think this one you are working on now will beat the Jango hands down.

That is great I wish my kids wanted to be more into Star Wars. I need to start dressing in high school musical costumes if I want something to happen like that.

Few more pics for you guys.

Was doing some work on the jet pack as well as the right gauntlet.


Jet pack- Main shell is done and primer sealed. Just have to add the bits and make it look all pretty.






The right gauntlet will be a Boba style looking thing. The left will be a bit more simple but will have a blade pop out of it, kinda like in the RC video game.




Flat Black primer on it now. When they are done they will also me a mettalic black much like the armor is.
His mando is kind of a custom mixxed with Walon Vau look.

What are you going to do for the cape? It would look pretty sweet with a black cape with a charcoal stripe. Also, what are you doing for footwear?

Going to have a bit of time in the next few days. I will have some more work done and post up more pics this weekend. Also may have some pics of my own armor up soon to...

Well, It is not too much dif then it was a few weeks ago. All I did was Paint up the left Gauntlet and try to add some bondo to the right gauntlet to get rid of the hot glue lumps. Bondo did not sand down smooth as I wanted but the bondo lump (after it was sanded and painted) looked better then the hot glue lumps.


Also saned the pack and stuck a coat of flat black to it. I will sand it up one more time then spray it again. I picked up a few odds and ends to finish the jet pack up. I hope to get more of it done Xmass weeked.

Also just ordered a black flight suit for him. Once I get that I will mod it up and then make the vest. After that I will just leave me with the boots and Helmet.
