After the hockey game I decided that I wanted to start work on my tusken raider. So far, we have the stuff for the gaffi stick and are half way finished with it and have priced the fabric. We will post pictures of the progress soon. Our goal is to have everything done and approved by MCCC but it will hopefully be done well before that.

Quick Update:

We almost have the gaffi stick done. Also, we should be getting the fabric soon, just waiting for funding to build up, lol. That's awesome about the face Roger, Mark is looking forward to working on that with you. I'm not sure how long it will take to finish, but I'm hoping to have this done by the Griffins game or the St. Patrick's Day parade.

I am using an old belt I bought at the secondhand store for the outside of the mouth. I’m going to make this tusken look worn down.

Well we had a blast last night. Thanks Roger for all the help so far. All four faces are turning out great.

For those who need bandoleer info, here is the link to the one we bought:

Also, there is another one on their website that some have used, especially those who plan to use a gun:

Hope that helps. I will also post some of the pics from last night sometime this weekend.

Finally got around to uploading some pics from the last two trips out to Roger's place. If they don't work, let me know.

Almost looks like a Pink Floyd thing going on in the one pic. For the folks who don't know yet, That's me in the hat, I'm on board the Tusken Train too! (toot toot!) I know bad joke, but it's late. I would be farther on the mask, but had to untangle a giant ball of fray from my duck cloth wrappings. Also, Roger and I were talking about having the sew party at my place when we get to the robe making phase, I have plenty of room and a mediocre cutting table. I'd be more than happy to do the sewing and provide snacks/ beverages.
