It is :)

But portion control will always be your friend. Resistance can be difficult and denial can sometimes be counter-productive because it plays emotional havoc (which is often an element that many people don't consider).

For example, I didn't quit drinking beer. I just try to have less of it over the course of a week.

Honest I am surprised I lost any weight at all. Once we lost Ella on Friday I ate garbage. Donuts, larger portions, grilled cheese, etc. Plus I have cried so much I am sure a lot of that 2 lbs was water loss. I am still a bit dehydrated. But this week I am trying to get back to some sort of routine...as much as I can anyways.

Do the best you can, doll. It's an emotionally trying time, and it's going to be hard.

Jason and I have talked and as much as I miss Ella I need to get back on track with my weight loss and gym regimen. I want to be healthy when she returns to us. I skipped the gym a lot last week, cause I just didn't feel like doing anything. So this week we are getting back on track. Measuring my portions and we've gotten back to the gym again. So hopefully, this will be my only 0 week.

Havent posted much, but I been keeping up with everyone and I must say great job

Myself, I have not done anything in a month or so. Havent gained though. And since Ive gotten back to work, I probably walk about 2 to 3 miles in the 11 hrs Im at work. Also, I cant have food or drink on the floor so my 6 to 8 Diet Mountain Dews I would drink in a day are now down to about 2, so I think that has helped.

But, great job everyone, keep up the good work!!

Nice job Rob. You'll be able to rock the thong in no time!!

Got my but back in gear (for real this time). Took to much time off, was eat'n junk. This past week got my diet under control again, walked at night and Monday hit up P90x again. This will be my true 2nd time around. I did about 100 days the first time and then just did a dvd or two when I had the time. Then about a month of nothing. My new focus to keep at it is the wedding in Sept. Want to try and get down to a 30-32 for pants waist size. Right now in a 34 with a wee bit of room. I was at a 38.

Goal: 200 Lbs
01/04/10 : 236.0 lbs
01/11/10 : 235.2 lbs (-0.8)
01/18/10 : 233.2 lbs (-2.0)
01/25/10 : 231.0 lbs (-2.2)
02/01/10 : 230.2 lbs (-0.8)
02/08/10 : 226.6 lbs (-3.6)
02/15/10 : 226.0 lbs (-0.6)
02/22/10 : 225.0 lbs (-1.0)
03/01/10 : 223.0 lbs (-2.0)
03/08/10 : 221.4 lbs (-1.6)
03/15/10 : 224.6 lbs (+3.2) Party weekend
03/22/10 : 220.6 lbs (-4.0) Started P90X :)
03/29/10 : 220.0 lbs (-0.6)
04/05/10 : 218.6 lbs (-1.4)
04/12/10 : 217.4 lbs (-1.2)
04/19/10 : 216.0 lbs (-1.4)
04/26/10 : 215.2 lbs (-0.8)

Total Loss : (-20.8)

I've missed updating this thread for the past couple of weeks, but have been sticking to the P90X program and making slow progress. I thought the lbs would come off faster, but I have not stuck to the very strict nutrition plan that they lay out in the program. I follow it as best I can, but I am not forcing Vicki on my diet and since she cooks, I eat what gets put on the table. :) I'll eat less of those home made cheese stuffed shells, but I will still eat them. I can only eat so many grilled chicken breasts before I start to grow feathers and cluck.

There are a couple things the WW people tell my wife that may apply here (or they may be full of pudu)
1) Quite often if you don't see yourself losing weight, you are actually losing inches as your body goes through a readjustment period for its new size.
2) Also, if you've seemed to hit a plateau, change your regiment around some to wake your body back up.

Don't know if that will help, butit can't hurt!!

Found another awesome workout...that doesn't feel like a workout at all! For Amanda's birthday, we bought her Just Dance for the wii. After watching the kids bust out their dance moves I gave it a try (after they were in bed so they couldn't laugh at me). Totally great cardio workout! I specifically picked the songs that were listed as high difficulty and high effort. I was huffing after the first song.

Tonight I tried it with the kids...a little friendly competition  I'm proud to say that I won...

Yes, I know they're only 10 and 11 years old...but this old mama still has some moves left in her! LOL!

Hey Gator,

You might not drop quick lbs with P90X. But you will start to see changes. Stuff fits better, might even drop a few pants sizes. Back a year ago I droped about 35 lbs before I started P90x. After I did my first 90 days of P90x I was only down about 15 lbs. But stuff was fitting much better, I felt better and had tons more energy. I slacked off for a bit over a month and could feel the fact that I did not work out. And am up 10lbs. I have since hit back at the p90x for about 2 weeks now. Need to keep at it this time. And yes, chicken sux. I used to like it. But now I can not stand to eat it anymore.
