I recommend you do NOT do fiberglass. The weight alone will not allow you to troop for any length of time. My kit is ABS and it weighs 40+ lbs. If you cover yours in glass, the chest piece will weigh that at least. Just an fyi. Fiberglass is NOT a great idea for full sets of armor.

Well, Andy, you must hate my armor parties. We do 80% social and 20% work.

I am familiar with Pep an it will need a TON of work to look accurate. Unless your concept is blocky and square. Pep for a Master Chief is totally a different realm of costume building than a Star Wars costume.

Just know that if you do the work yourself, make it look accurate, it wont cost you a million dollars. We did Mike's Vader for under $1k. But we made almost everything. Taught ourselves to sew. Made all the soft parts and bought only a couple parts. A inaccurate helmet and spent some time making it ...

Emphasis on Subtle. Just put some black acrylic in a cap and mix it with washer fluid or window cleaner (dollar store) and start with that.

It 24 hrs for full cure time. Usually tacky and will hold in a few hours. Depends on the temperature at the time.

I would still use super glue. There is no need to use E6000. And its very thick, so you might get a lot of "oozing" from between the parts.

I love E6000. It sticks to everything. And is removable if you F up.

Those are resin parts. Cyanoacrylte (fancy super glue) works AWESOME on resin. And is strong as all get out. IF you dont have the patience for E6000.

I am waking this up. I talked to a few fellas (and ladies) this weekend at the Lumberjacks game. We all agreed we need to get off our collective behinds and get in better shape. I was thinking of one myself. Problem is my garage is a shop and fills up fast with all my tools and what not.
