Re: Michigan 501st - CHARITY HISTORY
Send a pm to sportsanchor about the Whitecaps- they usually raise $3-5K.
I repeatedly tried getting numbers from PHFF hockey last season, and they never answered me.
Asking an event contact that we need the total just for our Legion-wide annual record keeping almost always works.

Re: Michigan 501st - CHARITY HISTORY
I asked Brent and Donavon last year how much was made at the 2011 Whitecaps and they said $3,000 was made. I pmed the command staff this amount and no one posted it and I was told it would be posted. So under Make A Wish Foundation for 2011 should be $3,000. For 2012 I have no idea what the total amount raised at the Whitecaps event was.Blasty Trooper wrote:Send a pm to sportsanchor about the Whitecaps- they usually raise $3-5K.

That was my fault. I had every intention on getting it posted myself(as we didn't have a Charity Rep at that time.) I got busy, forgot, and the PM got buried in my inbox.stiger1 wrote:I asked Brent and Donavon last year how much was made at the 2011 Whitecaps and they said $3,000 was made. The figures for 2013 have not been submitted to the Legion Charity Officer, as there are still some events where I am waiting for the total raised.

Hi Scott,
Here's the total of Charitable contributions for 2012 from the Great Lakes Garrison.
Salvation Army $416
Matthew Litchfield's Fight Like a Jedi Fundraiser $15,000+
Anchor Bay Community Giving Tree $50
Gildas Club $150
Make A Wish $2537
St. Johns Home $50
Lumberjack's Foundation $365
Grand Rapids Griffins Youth Foundation $5087
C.S. Mott Children's Hospital $650
American Cancer Society Relay For Life $130
Detroit Tigers Charity Foundation $350
2012 TOTAL $24,785
There may be some more contributions from 2012. As I was only appointed Charity Rep towards the last half of last year, there were some events that where charitable contributions weren't recorded.
This year I am keeping a closer watch (and count) on amounts received.
Thanks for now,
Derek.
