I got a line on an Altmann's Scout bucket, so I decided to stash the cash for a snazzy new lid.
Maybe - Maaaaaybe I'll wear my KS in a spraypaint showdown with Todd.

That's still not a bad price.

I know. The final kit price is supposed to be $600, so this is still a deal.Crimson wrote:That's still not a bad price.

The $450 price goes until May 16th. Then it goes to $650 until June 1st.
After June 1st …“Pricing after end of Initial Public Offering subject to change, including higher MSRP”.

Re: ANOVOS = Argh! (now I have to make a decision)
I really honestly wonder how many suits they sold at the $350 price. At C2E2 on 4/25, a few guys were standing around talking about this Anovos deal after the con was over for the day, and just then Dana comes walking up to us, so I flat out asked him “How many of those pre-order TK’s have you guys sold so far, a thousand?” He just laughed and said “at least”, and I know a bunch more people have ordered them in the 9 days since then.

Probably multiple parties, since you can't build a TK in just one party. I didn't buy one, since I already have a TK and don't really have an overwhelming desire to make a TD, but since 2 of the Lansing people bought them, I'm sure I'll be assisting at any local armor parties.squadleader wrote:So there will be a massive build party come winter right?

looks like My good friend who used to work at festival with me is going to be getting this. He lives out near Grand Rapids so the west side will get a new TK in about a year! His wife just ordered it for him and he doesn't know yet!

I ordered mine, I live in the Canton/Plymouth area. I'm just reading and reading and reading and
Going to start buying the items I need so its not such a rush once the armor gets shipped.

Re: ANOVOS = Argh! (now I have to make a decision)
I know no one has this armor yet, so there won't be an exact answer to these but...
1. How many hours will be involved finishing the armor for someone with zero experience but will get help from someone who has done it before?
2. How much more cost will there be? Boots, Straps/glue/magnets, blaster/fan/sound, etc. again, I know it depends on what quality you go with but a guesstimate.

Re: ANOVOS = Argh! (now I have to make a decision)
Hours of actual labor can probably a few days depending on how handy to over a month. boots about $60 Blater from $20 up cheap fan set up abut $20 up cheap mic set up $40 Glue $20 Webbing and other tuff can be any where from free to $50 depending on how you d it. course with all out seeing the armor we wont know what we have to actually do to it to make it approvable much less troopable . With SO many people buying this armor there will be LOTS of people figuring out the tricks quickly. Also I'm sure there will be people go in on supplies together to buy in bulk for better pricing. Hopefully they all begin to ship are around the same time instead of trickling in a suit at a time over months.

Re: ANOVOS = Argh! (now I have to make a decision)
Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a Stormtrooper...and now that dream is happening!
*jumped into the pond doing a cannonball*
Thanks to Mayhem at MCCC for clueing me into all of this since I have been away.
Now to work on getting new TIE chest armor in the meantime so I can troop again and then building my TK come this winter!
BTW- I am from the Coldwater area and will definitely want to find a build party. Am willing to travel.
