Episode VII costumes
Was wondering if anyone was working on any Force Awakens costumes? If so, who? Completion date? Or are you waiting for the movie or armor makers to start producing things first?

Re: Episode VII costumes
Anovos released TK armor to a select few earlier this year so it could be worn to Celebration. Won't be available to the general public until the end of the year.

Re: Episode VII costumes
Cannot imagine the Kylo Ren would be very difficult to manufacture. Looking at the costume close up at celebration, just looked like a robe with a mask. Yes, I know there is more to it but it cannot be as difficult or complex as say building Vader.
Re: Episode VII costumes
Kylo Ren doesn't appear to be very tall either. So there could be an army of Kylo Rens walking around.
There are a few people working on different things that I am aware of. But if they dont post up I dont want to reveal their secrets.

I'm working on the new X-Wing Pilot and hopefully will have most of it completed by the time that new Harrison Ford movie comes out.
Re: Episode VII costumes
I haven't started this nor will I until after I see the movie, but I'm REALLY liking the look of this......

Re: Episode VII costumes
I've been considering Kylo Ren but not sure I'm ready to tackle another costume so soon after Vader. At any rate, I'll wait until CRLs are out, as I'm not about ready to start sinking money and time into something without knowing if it is approvable. That said, I did preorder his FX Lightsaber. At first I thought his saber was gimmicky but it's growing on me. The free poster given out at Toys R Us on Force Friday really motivated me into considering it as a costume.

I'm researching captain phasma I'm highly considering it. I've been asking around with different legion members.

Don't quote me on this, but someone told me that the chrome plating is really expensive to do.GingerSnap wrote:I'm researching captain phasma I'm highly considering it. I've been asking around with different legion members.

I'm researching it. I've talked to a few sources and this would be a long term project.DeafTrooper wrote:Don't quote me on this, but someone told me that the chrome plating is really expensive to do.GingerSnap wrote:I'm researching captain phasma I'm highly considering it. In that case, I hope that Captain Phasma isn't a one movie wonder like Darth Maul.GingerSnap wrote:I'm researching it. I've talked to a few sources and this would be a long term project.

Re: Episode VII costumes
I've also toyed with the idea of a Captain Phasma.
It would require waiting till the TFA TK armor comes out, since her armor is basically just a modified TK. (Extra-length added for the shins since G. Christie is 6'3", different helmet, different hands, etc.)
As far as the chroming, some guys over at RPF are playing around with paint and getting some pretty good results. My plan is to do ANH TK first, so I can learn the process of working with the armor. I figure there's no teacher like experience for trimming, assembling, etc. Also, I need to know if I even care for wearing armor since my other two costumes are soft-parts.
Who knows, she might be a one-movie wonder, but I don't care. She still looks kick-ass.

Pew Pew Pew!
I just need some accurate boots when they are more readily available. (emails sent to those making them) and an accurate blaster (ordered)

I love that shiny polished armor Flash. I was gazing into it to see if I could see my reflection in it from my computer monitor!

When my TK is finished and they have a CRL, I will be building a Kylo Ren.
