Honestly when I first saw it I actually saw a piece of art. Those comments are hilarious. I told a couple friends of mine to check it out and they are blown away. Keep me updated on any new parts added and pics if you don't mind. I am seriously astounded at what you have. I see you are from East Lansing. I don't get out that way to much but if I'm ever in the area I'll let you know. We played at the Machine Shop a couple times. I'm Playing a Maple DDrum Dominion right now. I just purchased a Roland TD-8 for recording and practicing in my dinky apartment. That's a beautiful kit you have. :metal:

Hey Rome. Are there any pics I can look at for a reference as far as cutting the back of my thigh? I don't know how high I can go. I really wish now I would have bought an ABS kit. Painting was a pain and I don't think this is gonna hold up well. Thanks for the help.

I'll post up what mine look like this weekend. And if it is styrene, as long as you're not going out to play some tackle football in the thing, it'll hold up pretty well. I'm rather abusive to mine -- TD armor doesn't need to be babied nearly as much as shiny TKs! -- and it's been pretty sturdy despite feeling like wafer-thin papier mache!

Except my set is bigger than Neil Pearts, but he is a much better drummer than I could dream to be.

Here's the back of my left leg. I made big divots in the bottom edge of the thigh and top edge of the calf so that I could actually bend my legs while walking. It was just a progressive series of small cuts, where I made one initial cut in all four pieces, put them on (the individual halves were just attached with tape before I glued anything down), and tested to see where the pinches would occur.

After I put everything together and glued, I did another trial wear, and then used the Dremel to grind down any additional pinch points.

Perfect! That is exactly what I was looking for. Your armor is nice. Thanks for the pics and I'm actually getting ready to start the finishing touches now. I'm shining up the paint job now as I did a wet sand Sat to get out some defects. I'll post pics later tonight and look forward to any mods I need to make. Thanks again Rome.
