Great Lakes Garrison & Base

So, I retrieved a brown, nondescript box from a certain in-Garrison armor maker whom we all know.



What could be in the box, you ask?:

I would like to say this is a proper build thread, but it won't be...this will basically be a progress picture thread.

Thigh trim comparison...we had to take a lot off.


Leg fitting.

Chest, back attached.


Polyflex filled seam, sanded, touched up with glazing putty, resanded.


Forearm seamless setting.

When finished, this will be Stak from the Lightning Squad.

That's a strange looking Stormtrooper costume.

Well Darren, Brian finally made an official post about handing over the molds to Terrell so it's no longer "Super Secret".

Got the thighs glued and the other shin has be been poly-flexed. Gonna give you your first taste of real sanding tomorrow.

Just saw that post on CTN.

I've got my shoes 50% done. One hand plate is strapped as well.

Shoes are almost completed (pics soon).
Hand plates are finished.

Main helmet fully trimmed. Visor will hopefully be finished tomorrow.

Doing a great job so far man!!!

Got the visor finished, now I just need to do some cleanup on the helmet before painting.

I would. You can add a fan blowing in on one side and blowing out on another. It would give you good ventilation. Do you have any visor material?

Yep, I have the visor material and some black nylon screen for the vents. I probably will not put them in until after I paint.

The helmet on the left is not really part of this project...it's a Phase II Clonetrooper helmet I'm putting together.




















Probably no updates until next year on this project....I'm going to be busy with holiday stuff the next few weeks.

Wow, looks great. And I thought my TK build was difficult. If and when I ever decide to go Clone... I am just going to buy a used one! That is more skill and patience then I have...

The holiday season is going to slow me down a couple weeks. I hope to be finished by the end of January though.
