For those with Royal Guard helmets...

Can you fit a fan in there? If so, where do you put it? 
Also, what do you use for padding & where do you place it? I'm working on my husband's Senate Guard helmet right now and have some ideas for the padding, but thought I'd ask those that have been trooping in similar helmets what they've done.
