Great Lakes Garrison & Base

Hey there everybody I've recently been wanting to join the 501st Legion/Great Lakes Garrison since I was a sophomore in high school, I've graduated and I have a Kylo Ren Costume being made and I have the Cross guard saber as well my only question is.... How does one register 0_0 or become a member/involved in community events? any and all help is really appreciated!

Currently that costume is not yet eligible for (501st) membership.

They are working on the requirements for it though. Once the requirements are defined, then your costume would have to meet those standards to be approved.

Keep us updated and show us your progress.

I would also suggest joining this forum as they will have the most information about this new costume.

You need to be careful of who makes it and how it is made. We have some strict costume requirements and there are a lot of shady places that will tell you that they make stuff to specs for 501st approval when in fact, they would not pass.

And be patient. It's possible that the requirements for EPVII costumes won't be cemented until after the movie is released.

Although he isn't a Sith Lord, there are also quite a lot of Kylo Ren threads in the Sith Lords Detachment.

What do you have done on Kylo? Where are you located at?

Just a heads up for anyone watching this post. I saw Dawn post on FB the other day regarding some changes that might be made to the CRL now that more footage of the movie is being seen. Check it for updates regarding the robes. Currently trying to work on a Kylo myself. Keeping away from the robes until later to see what changes if any are being made.

Message them and ask they have some great work. I know a few people who have bought their kylo have been approved.
