I was recently fixing some of the velcro straps in the leg pieces when I noticed a crack in the upper left leg practically near were the velcro straps are...(as close as you can get to the velcro portions). I was wondering if any of you guys knew of a good seal/glue to fix it. I've heard of this thing called flexiwear that's supposedly good, but what do you guys think?

Do you have a picture of the leg piece and the crack that you can post up?

I also have a crack in the same spot which i got at the DWIFF event. when I get back to michigan I will fix it by placing a backing piece of ABS glued down with ABS glue. This will reienforce the area and will allow atachemt of the velcro safely. If you want I can post up pictures of the in-proccess shots of the repair.

here's the crack...it's rather small..but nonethelless right at the edge...had to magnify the zoom of my camera phone to get the picture....also I'm probably going to have to replace the velcro on that leg...or glue it on

One thing that might work form the inside to reinforce the area would be to use some fiberglass mat. You can get it in the automotive section of Walmart near the bondo. Basically, you can cut a small square of it, then use superthin CA glue as your resin. Be sure to do this in an extremely well ventilated area and use eye protection. Use a small spreader to push the glue into the mat and let it sit until it's dry.

Cyanoacrylate, more commonly known as super glue. I wouldn't use your regular off the shelf super glue. Go to a hobby shop and buy the super thin.

Hnnh....sounds...like a good idea...Now fiberglass matt...that's pretty much like a ultrathin version of what I think it is right?

Actually on second thought, fiberglass fabric may be a better solution. Just look for it near the bondo.
