Begining of my new build. Biker Scout
I am already starting my new costume, a Biker Scout trooper. Always one of my favorites from my teen years ( hey i'm old ) ANd if i hurry i can be done before the Tbird day parade and stay warm in this suit.
I got this set off eBay the other night and i am pretty sure its a SC.
I have to get my flight suit and cumberbund going then i will start the armor.

Definitely get the cummerbund from Ladyghost on the bikerscout.net boards. Her work is top notch. Her husband also makes the boots if you don't want to make them yourself. But the tutorial (also on BS.N) is super easy to use...I made my own using it.

Re: Begining of my new build. Biker Scout
I've always liked this costume (heck, I like all the Imperial costumes), and this is on my mental list for... someday... interesting color of the helmet, is that fiberglass? Is that how it came, or is that something you put together?

I am currently Building a smaller size version of the Biker scout for my nephew. He is small and scrawny so every thing has to be made from scratch to look good on him.

It came like that. Got the whole deal off ebay , one of those had it forever and never built it deals. I checked around on the Bikescout board and they say it is a older version of an SC kit. They say the helmet looks like a early version of a SLC or SCL i forget.

I feel the oppisite, i think all armor is made to fit you scrawny small guys and i have to try to make them bigger. I wear A lower back support strap,One of those Velcro dealio's. Put it on.Tighten it up.
I cant imagine any 1 item that caused this gut that I have.
I think mine is the combination,of all the garbage food I eat. But I bet the cherry turnover's don't help

FX looks goofy on people our size without a LOT of trimming and cutting down....grand moff propman wrote:I feel the oppisite, i think all armor is made to fit you scrawny small guys and i have to try to make them bigger. Re: Begining of my new build. Biker Scout
That may be true, i bought mine off a guy pre built so i had a lot of reworking to do . He claimed to be my size 6 foot 230 but damn , i couldn't squeeze those bi cep, fore arms or calves on to save my life. He must of been a scrawny 230 lber. I would like to build a new one from scratch and turn my old one into a TD, Your TK looked really sweet Rome.

Well...if it's too small I'd be happy to let you build it for me A biker was my original plan but with all the extra clone parts lying around it only made sense to join the ranks of the clones around here.

Re: Begining of my new build. Biker Scout
YEARS of constant modding! The only thing I can't mod are my genetics -- my bow-legs which makes the calf-pieces look out of place in comparison to the thighs, and the proportional shortness of my limbs compared to my torso.grand moff propman wrote:That may be true, i bought mine off a guy pre built so i had a lot of reworking to do . Ok few months later and just about done, few more tweeks and some sewing and i think it will be ready for troops.
The boots took me awhile as i sew like old people drive
Painting the helmet, 8 coats of gloss white and 8 coats of clear poly
Helmet complete
Armor 85% done

Did you hand sew the stitching on the boots?
I see you went with the off white pouches. I did the same for Kelli.

Re: Begining of my new build. Biker Scout
I have made a custom blaster that will be done in a few days but besides that i think i am ready to go. here is a look at the final outfit. I was shooting for Lancer status when i started so i have done most the mods i can think of, i know i am not quite Lancer yet but i think is Legion ready.
Here is the under vest with padded sleeves made by our own Rachel Orange
here is some of the undersuit mods, ridding patch and rear pocket patches in suede. The flash makes them look grey but they are more of a light charcol
