Re: Kids costume help
Any kids' costume pattern that is meant to be an animal will work, if you/Jackie are good with altering little details. If you can find a bear pattern, that would work best. Look for something that has a full body suit, that zips up the front or back, with a hood, mittens, and shoe covers. Sometimes, you can get patterns for $1 or $2 on sale at JoAnn's. I would recommend Simplicity, they have a lot of nice kids' costumes.
If you're not going for 100% accuracy, you can just paint Hanna's face to look like an Ewok's, otherwise you can try making up a mask/headpiece. There's a nice discussion going on at the Rebel Legion forum: http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13092

Re: Kids costume help
We have the old Ewok pattern in my house Wags. My uncle was one years ago when he was a kid. IF you want and I'm able to make your armor party I can bring the pattern with me and you can trace it.

Re: Kids costume help
Hi Wags,
My parents picked up an Ewok costume at a garage sale for my kids. It looks like a bear costume with a hood. It has a tail that was pinned to it. It was actually made pretty nice. It has shoe covers also. I think I want to fix the hood on it, make it look more like Wicket's. Here are some photos. ( I am going to try to make it to your armor party).
