Just digging this thread out from the depths of the boards...maybe this will give Tony some inspiration to start working on my armor again.

I'm sure Tony will correct me if I miss anything but here's what I think still needs to be done...Ducktrooper wrote:So whats still left to do on it?
First - Steve (Harp) needs to have his new chest armor finished so I can have his old one
Chest armor - needs to be repainted for the correct color
Shins - are fit, just need to determine how we're going to get them on my body...seamless maybe?
Thighs - done
Knees - need to attach straps or other method of keeping them on
Shoes - done
Butt plate - new one was purchased...now we have to mod back into what we already finished with the ab/kidney plate
Shoulders - done but need to attach
Biceps, elbows - done but need to attach
Forearms - need to finish
Hand plates - new ones were just purchased. Need to trim down, attach the magnets and attach to gloves
Probably only a couple nights work...we're bringing it in the house the weekend so it's easier to work on (I don't like the cold "man cave")

Thighs - done
Knees - need to attach straps or other method of keeping them on Done
Shoes - done Yes
Butt plate - new one was purchased...now we have to mod back into what we already finished with the ab/kidney plate Bought new OSCS and need to redo kidney plate which I started on
Shoulders - done but need to attach Yes

We will get some work done this weekend. Her blood does'nt handle the cold very well, so I wont let her in the garage. Dont need a hospital visit... So the armor is coming in the house and we are going to work on it in the basement. I will post progress on sunday!!!

Ouch!dirty tusken wrote:uh huh. anyone wanna take bets on sundays progess.
We actually did make some progress last night after hauling all the armor and supplies into the house in the midst of a snow storm.
Shoes had some minor adjustments. Tony made them look so darn good that they were too tight across the tongue area (on the left one anyway)...I couldn't squeeze my foot into the shoe because the vinyl was too tight. So...a quick disection of the tongue and the shoe fits fine.
We have some fitting to do with the chest armor. The crappy painters tape we were using last night wouldn't hold so Tony will be off to buy some better tape today. We did manage to get the chest armor, butt plate and cod piece all mocked up so we know it will work.
There was more work to do than originally thought. Only one shin is currently put together and the second thigh will need to be painted (along with the shin). My knees although put together may have to be trimmed down more and I'm definately going to need knee pads to attach them to. The piece of elastic just isn't working so well.
Tony will probably post up pictures later of our work last night. More to come today!

Re: Jackie's Thire Build a.k.a. "Making Salsa"
Ok, so here is last nights pix and todays. We have a lot more work to do on the chest/back than I thought. Dam my short wife..... And Jackie is wrong, both thighs are done. Worked on her butt/cod/kidney/ab piece mostly tonight. She's hippy so it takes some minipulating.... she hit me for that... lol. Also found out that her shoulder bells are still abit big. No big deal, just have to trim them down abit. Also, her knees are way to big and we found out that mine are actually smaller then hers so we are going to switch.
Here are some pix!!

Eeeehhhemmmm... DO NOT LISTEN TO THE WOMEN BEHIND THE CURTIAN.....
Well, I got some good advice from the clone boards and the "Refitting" of the chest and back armor arent going to be so bad. Just have to cut into pieces, then refit, take some abs out, and put it back together, but smaller. I should be able to do it in a few hours. Just have to make sure that the lines are straight when cutting But no biggie. Hopfully when the kids are at school tomorrow. Cant do it tonight. Sleeping childeren..... shhhhhh.

Ok, for all you haters... mostly you... well only you Josh.... newly cut pieces. lol. This was the hardest thing for me to do. I thought I was going to be buying a new set of chest/back armor after this, but it turned out pretty good. I took about 1 1/2 inches off of it and I think it will fit good. Plus it took about 10 yrs off my life... Also, I have turned my computer room into a short term armory.... kinda messy... lol
Enjoy!!

Here are some more pix. Worked on her back tonight, and a comparison of her new almost done/modified chest next to mine I took some pix of what I cut off before i did, so you can see how much I chopped..... man that was still hard to do... lol
