Rocket for the top of His jet pack.





Jump suit. Still have to add 2nd sleeves and make the vest. I am going to the store and going to muddle my way through make'n him a vest. The gloves are the rubies clone trooper ones. They were white. But since the pic I have painted them a metal color.

Hope to have finished pack pics up this weekend as well. I have to get this done for the St.Pattys day parade this March.

Here is the pack about 90% done. Still have to add some small parts to fill out the look.




Right now (as I type) Dylan is working on his own "Play set" of armor. I had him cut out the templates and trace it on to cardboard. Then He hot glued the cut out part and stuck it to the back of a honey nut cherios box. The Honey nut box gloss side will help when it comes time to paint.

He has most of the upper body parts cut out. Now he is working on the shoulders and back plate.
I will get picks up of his work Saturday. He wanted to make a set to have on when we play nerf wars in the house. I am just going to rig up a vest from a old dress shirt from the thrift stores. I am getting the shirt when I pick up belts to use for the leather work on his Costume that I am makeing for him.

Well since I have been sick the last few days I have not had much time to do more on Dylans costume. But today I am feeling a bit better so I started on his belts.

Right now it is just the basic frame work of the belt. I will be adding a leg holster to the straps on his right leg and some ammo pouches ( 2 or 3) on the belt. and well and a place to put a knife.





I am going to attempt to work on a vest soon for him. Once that is made I can toss the armor on it & set it aside. Still have to order a bucket for him to use (and then remake it) Boots. And work on the weapons for him. I am working a fixxing up a old nintendo duck hunt blaster to use as his side arm. And will repaint a nerf gun to use as his BFG.

Well lets see..... I think I posted or told a few of you that Dylan was doing his own set of armor, with no help from me (well a lil help, I do the hot glue) He wanted a "Play set" of armor for when he plays around the house with his nerf toys.

So I printed out some armor templates and got him some card board and craft paint and told him to get at it. SO Thats when I discovered something.......The armor I had made for him (that you see in this topic) is from the same size templates that I used for his armor when he was 6. There lies the problem. Dylan is 8 now, and apeared that he decided to grow at some point in the last 2 yrs.

Now, I have to remake the Chest armor, shoulder armor, the back plate and the ab plate. YAY ME!!!
Well, it could not have come at a better time. My costume is at a stop right now and Diana and Dylan are at Gaylord visiting her mom and dad. So I have 3 days (when I am not sleeping, eating) To make the armor that fits him better.

Well, once I got off work thats all I have done today. The chest,shoulder and Ab plate are all done and the new black plate is in the basement drying right now as I type. I will try and get some side by side pics . The old with the New.

Ok here is the "Newer" set next too the New set. You can see that the Newer stuff is a Tad bigger then the other set. The newer stuff is a template scaled to fir some one who is 4'6 (Dylans height) The stuff I had made in the first pages of this post are scaled to fit some one around 4' . The first set I made will fit him and look OK, but with my luck he would out grow it by MC3. This way I can get 1full year out of it now. Maybe 1.5 yrs.

And here is a bit more of mine. I ran out of Velcro and goop working on Dylan's stuff, So I am at a stop for now.

Thanks, I owe it all too Diana and Dylan. They left to visit her mom & dad in gaylord. They left of Thursday night. So I had all weekend to work on stuff. All I did was put out a tarp on the floor. Bust out the sintra board, xacto & my heat gun. Pop'd in all 6 Star Wars movies on the big screen and got to work. But now they are on the way home (7pm or so) So I have about 5.5 hrs to get the spray paint smell out of the house

Well got some more updates for Dylan's Gear. just have to make the vest, buy boots and slap it all on with velcro. Then he is all done, And I can get back to work on mine.

i will try and get some pics uploaded from my parents house this weekend. but Dylans costume is now done. All I have to do is make a holster for him and good to go. I have pics of him in armor. Now I can get back to my 2 costumes I have in the works
