I was going to visit a local army surplus store for these, but thought I'd tap the vast knowledge here too. I'm looking for a brown leather ammo pouch to go on a belt.
Here is the general shape I'm looking for:

They look very similar to the Sandtrooper ammo pouches.

Unless you have a super good, full of OLD stuff, surplus store you won't find any Leather Mp-40 or like pouches. I have looked at prety much every Army/Navy surplus store in the tri county area and Lansing and southern Cali and have not been able to find any . Look online .

Even the one place online that had them are now sold out. There are a couple tutorials on the MEPD and FISD to make your own.

Thanks guys! I'll check out the tutorials later. That'll be more to buy on my trip Tandy leather. I wish they had a store less than an hour from me.

Hobby Lobby has a Tandy Leather section in their stores. It's not a big as a Tandy store but it's a start.

They also tend to take quite a mark up on the goods there in my experience.
