Re: Armor Pary?
I've been busy with classes and college projects....I have done work on it though such as cleaning the helmet up and replacing the tube stripes during break.....
Chances are though I might have to redo the tube stripes again though just to make em perfect

Re: Armor Pary?
I'm dedicating February to finish my armor, so if there's an armor party, I'll be there.
Re: Armor Pary?
Agreed...If possible I'd love to get mine done during Spring Break, considering the fact that I would be able to be back home, get any supplies necessary (and extra in case anyone else needs some), and get it all donezambam17 wrote:I'm dedicating February to finish my armor, so if there's an armor party, I'll be there.

Picking things back up myself here. Would like to finish this month but got a lot to do so that may not be practical. Should a get together happen however I wouldn't be opposed.

Agreed...I even think March can work as well since that is when spring break occurs....not to mention the fact that I have a test every week this month....
By the way...do you guys think white elastic bands would work for the shoulder bells or just stick with black elastic?

Re: Armor Pary?
For the color of the straps, I would definitely go with black so it matches your undersuit. As for the material, it is up to you. Elastic will work, but I personally used black nylon webbing.Zachg56 wrote: By the way...do you guys think white elastic bands would work for the shoulder bells or just stick with black elastic?

Re: Armor Pary?
Alright nylon webbing for the shoulder bells it is then....I'll try to see if the hobby lobby nearby has some.
Even though it isn't necessary, but nonetheless might streamline wearing the chest/back piece itself, would that nylon webbing be a good idea to put on the sides themselves?

Re: Armor Pary?
If I understand you correctly, you asking about running a piece of webbing between the chest and back plates? If so, I would use black elastic there. That will allow for it to flex when you move but still hold the pieces together.Zachg56 wrote:Alright nylon webbing for the shoulder bells it is then....I'll try to see if the hobby lobby nearby has some.

Re: Armor Pary?
How thin exactly should the nylon webbing be? 2-3 inches at most?

Re: Armor Pary?
If it's the nylon strapping for the bells and biceps you need one inch wide.
Re: Armor Pary?
1 inch wide? got it...I'll see if any stores around here have 1 inch wide webbing/straps
