Are we going to have a new Charity Rep or will that role be assigned to one of the current officers?

Add $1,100 from the SW Trivia Night for National MS Society. viewtopic.php?f=133&t=11037 Without the GLG's participation, this event would not have been planned.

Don't forget the check for $200 donation from the birthday party we did for St. Judes Childrens Hospital

And yesterday someone paid $50.00 to Leukemia and lymphoma society for my appearance but they paid it directly to the organization. I don't know if your totals include this or not.

Our Blaster Range raised $49 at the Blessings in a Backpack fundraiser: http://www.greatlakesgarrison.com/forum ... 71&t=11470

Also, the Whitecaps amount (speculated to be between $3,100-3,400) needs to be confirmed and added.

If anyone has received a charitable contribution from an event this year, can you please give me the total amount, stating which charity the contribution was for.

If you have already notified one of the officers of a contribution, then it will already have been logged.

As we begin another year of events (and hopefully fundraising along the way), can anyone who receives a charitable contribution or attends a charity event where we are the main reason for the event, please post on this thread the amount received/event/date and charity.

Next week I will be submitting our total amount raised from charity events in 2012 to the 501st Legion Charity Officer.
If you have received any charitable contributions from an event last year, and not already notified me (or posted on this thread) can you please do so within the next few days.

I have updated the first post on this thread showing the total charitable contributions received/raised last year, currently totalling $16481!

As the Great Lakes Garrison attends many charity events, we are not necessarily told how much money has been raised. But what I do know is we always help boost the charities funds and receive positive feedback after the events.

If you know of any other money received for charities in 2012, please notify me immediately, as the total will soon be forwarded to the 501st Legion Charity Officer.

May 2013 be a successful charity fund raising year, good job everyone!

Check with Brent, "sportsanchor" on how much the Griffins & Whitecaps made. They should be several thousands each and might be listed in their respective topics.

Excellent, thank for this Flash!
Looking back at the Maker Faire thread, it appears to have been $850!

Lumpy brought a bunch of Light Sabers that raised a LOT of money for "Make-a-Wish" in just half of the first day cause we SOLD OUT!!!.

Yeah, we sold a couple of lightsabers.
I showed up with 2 cases of sabers in hopes that we could go through a case on Saturday and another on Sunday. They were GONE by 3:30 on Saturday!!!!! We already have a plan for next year, but as far as this year goes, once I paid Gary back for his buying the sabers in the first place, we raised......

$850 for Make-a-Wish!!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped out early Saturday while I was costumed up. I seriously worked up more of a sweat selling sabers than I did in my costume!!! It was INSANE!!!
