Its not an issue of fit per se as it fits snugly elsewhere. Just not sure if I should adjust so the front hole is smaller. Then again don't have the gloves on so not sure how that will effect

Alrighty, here's the progress for today:
Biceps are done:


Forearms are assemble but still need to have the seams filled:


And here's a picture of them on, mind you this is with a normal long sleeve shirt and t-shirt


Again, not 100% sure of the opening on the one forearm, so holding off on filling in for the moment.

Other progress (no pics):
Helmet visor is cut and been adjusted to fit better inside the bucket.
Bucket has had holes drilled for the mike tips.
Guns have the butt parts attached.

Going to keep trucking here, next target is the leg armor.

Brief update:
Stop by the 'rents house to do some laundry (so what, it's free) and tried the forearms with the gloves. The openings are definitely less noticeable. So, long story short I think the forearms are good to go. Any disagreements?
Also, cleaned up the holsters and fixed some minor holes (which will still need to be sanded) and cleaned up the biceps some (fixed uneven returns at the connection.

Now, quick question: thigh armor, how much extra space should I have? Did another test fit on Sunday and it seemed like I may have had a little to much free room there. I'll get a better check either thursday or this weekend and give an accurate portrayal, but was more or less curious.

First off, your camera sucks (sorry had to say it)

Biceps look good. A coat of primer will tell if you have missed anything on your filler.

Forearms, its hard to tell with them being black. As far as the hole around your wrist, you should be fine. Just add some padding on the inside so that they dont spin on you.

The thigh armor, I would have to see a pic. As long as the Gap isn't too big, you should be good. And remember, you will have on a Kama, which covers a lot of the front of your thigh, so that will be mostly hidden. That will give you a little lee way for your mobility. I can spin my thighs and sit. And you dont have to have a butt plate either. Which also helps in the sitting department.

sniff sniff...but...
okay, done with the pitty party. Yeh, it's sorta hit or miss with the camera. Been trying to avoid using the flash because it seems to be harder to see thing with the flash. But, then it seems to blur more often...

Regardless, forearms are not going to be moving around at all. They fit really snug further up the forearm, just wasn't sure if the opening at the front is too open.

As for the thighs, I'll get a measurement and let ya know.

It doesn't matter how much space you have on the forearm. Can you get your hand in and out? That is the deciding factor on how large the wrist hole has to be.

Alrighty, that sounds alright then. I've been looking at other people's builds as well and my opening doesn't look much off of theirs. Did a fit with the gloves, definitely looks a bit better.

I may try to bend a little more to 'squish' the forearms rounder (if that makes sense). Best way I can describe it is if you hold your arm out with your palm up and think coordinates wise (x axis across the arm, y length and z is the depth), x wise is good, y seems alright but z is sorta snug.

Okay, in addition to working on thighs, thinking I may try and start fitting the ab and chest this weekend. Any suggestions on how tight it should be? Should it be fairly tight and do the split down the back like kevin shows in the assembly pages on his site or leave it looser and slide it on? I could see either aproach working but not sure what other people have done and their suggestions (Wags, I think I talked with you about this before but that was well over a year ago and my memory isn't that great).

True. Once the ab/cod is done, then you can properly fit the thighs. Once the thighs are fitted, then you can fit the calves.

Quick update (no pics):
Primed the bells, biceps, and holsters and hand armor.
Forearms are filled and started sanding, still a bit to go.
As for the ab portion...that's definitely awkward to work with... I've got one side taped and may just trim that then go to the other.

Also, thanks to some help at G-Man's armor party, the ab plate is set up. Just need to add the backing in the back part to connect it the two halves.

As for the teeth, the grey is the correct color. Did you put in the mesh behind them? I have some extra screen if you need it, if you havent done that yet that is...

Got a question here, if attaching the cod to the ab plate, what type of snap should I use?

for my armor I have velcro it give some flexablite and you can adjust it give that right placement

Depends. Mine is hard mounted. And I can still sit. Just depends on how you do it. If you use snaps you might run into problems with it popping loose.

Rich has a good idea with the velcro. It is very flexible.
